Lägenhetshotell i Gogo Island

“Litet rum. Underdimensionerad frukost matsal.”

“Unfortunately, we would not stay at this hotel again. It's a building from a bygone era of an economic bubble that is rusting away. The linen and towels were clean, but inside the cupboard and room corners were dusty. While the room was spacious, there was no place to put clothes except for a standing coat hanger with four hangers. The breakfast cost 1600 yen per person, a small plate of usual breakfast food with the option of only one drink (coffee or tea or juice)...we were hungry in an hour....

“Like this hotel! Close to Dogo onsen which was nice. Dogo koen is also 10/10... Maybe a bit far from the central station and nightlife though.”

“The word Tranquility was probably invented by places like this. The experience begins when you meet the inn keeper. When entering you're welcome into what felt like a noble men's house kept up to date. You get guided through to the living area with a live edge coffee table. Be sure to give yourself 40 mins for check in so inn keeper can give you a relaxing and interactive run down of how the Roykan is ran! The entire vibe of this place is to slow down, be in tune with what your body needs for...

“Dougoya is a bit dwarfed under huge hotel complexes, but they have really done the best of the situation, with an atmospheric entry and small Japanese gardens that the rooms look out on. We had a large room on the first floor with plenty of space. The staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and made their best to make us feel comfortable. They offered us private use of the ryokan's onsen on no less than two occations during our three night stay. We used it once and really appreciated...
