Nice rooms. Really hard beds, main bed was better but the two extras was very hard. Persons in reception super nice and helpful. Restaurant not good. Chicken was cold and the chef forgot ingredients in one dish and the waiter just said he probobly forgot it. When we said the dish was just ok he offered us some grappa and gave us sambuca…

We stayed 3 nights in the Lavanda Apartment. It was clean, very well maintained and comfortable accommodation in charming Marezige up in the hills surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, for those wanting some distance from the crowds in nearby Koper and Piran. Our accommodation was also very close to Hrastovlje (20 min drive), the forests for our truffle hunting tour (5 min drive or 10 min walk) and walkable to the centre of Marezige (7 min uphill walk) where the wine and olive oil fountains are located, and where you can catch good sunset photos while having your wine. Our hosts were kind and accommodating, and conduct olive oil appreciation tours onsite. You can also sample the olive oil and wines they grow. You will need a car if you stay here, and you must like animals as the surrounding neighbours are small farms. There were no downsides for us during our stay other than the one day it rained on us. We didn’t get to try the outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub which was inviting as we were out most of the days sightseeing.
