âIt is a nice place to stay if you are in the area on a business trip (in my case the company I visited was within <10 min walking distance). The area is quiet and far from disturbing traffic and other noise.
The hotel supplied all the services required for my stay.
There is also a gym located in the same building.
In general the impression is good. However, one night the fire alarm started (false alarms) repetadly during a period of almost one hour.â
âSpent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

âHelt OK hotell, men lĂ€get Ă€r lite off, sĂ„ det Ă€r bra om man Ă€r bilburen. Bra frukost, fast jag hade gĂ€rna sett mer frukt, nu fanns bara grapefrukt och bĂ€rkompott.â
âRummet var rent och OK renoverat. Men varmvattnet var inte riktigt varmt. Blev kall dusch. Korridorerna var slitna och smutsiga mattor. Frukosten var bra. Bra service och trevlig hotellbar. â
âThe restaurant was very good and the staff were friendly and professional. My only complaints are we asked for two beds but got one and there were no electrical outlets near the bed for plugging in our CPAP machines.â
âThe room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasnât air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. â
âWe had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy.
We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous!
Would happily stay again if I was in the area.â
