“Everything was very good. I was surprised that there wasn’t a microwave.”

“Loved the outdoor pool, and the pool hours. Staff was also very friendly. However, our room smelled really musty and our floor in our room was dirty. When we walked around with our socks on the carpet our feet turned brown. The air conditioning also wasn't on when we arrived and it took about the entirety of our stay to air it out and cool the room down. There were also about 100 flies in our room when we arrived.”

“We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals. “The location is ideal. The accommodations were as described, however, I would not review the toilet (outhouse) as super clean, as we had read on previous reviews. It was fine, but not exceptional. Just to reinforce, we were very glad we had a space heater for nights in the 40s and 50s.
