“The location was within 15 mins walking from the beach but... going uphill, makes the best cardio stress test you can get for a while. The property is located far away from the main streets of the city which is good (for the noise) but bad if you intend to walk there, for the reasons already mentioned. “This was by far our best stay I would say in our entire life so far. We wanted to give the kids all the pleasure and space, and this literally did all of that. The kindness and hospitality was top notch, they even thought about the kids and with our late arrival there was even some food to consume. Thank you Marta for being such a great manager! “É a minha segunda vez no Monte do Giestal, mas tal como na primeira, uma estadia prolongada de 5 dias. Tudo é bom aqui, desde as amplas e equipadas casas, super confortáveis, ao espaço exterior, sossego, comida entregue a porta de casa pelas sempre atenciosas funcionárias que não deixam que falte nada. Mais, venho com o meu cão, de porte grande, e também ele adora o Monte. Tem bastante espaço para correr livremente e é muito bem recebido. ”

“Superbe maison. Très spacieuse avec ses 9 chambres. Nous étions 14 adultes et nous avions amplement d’espace pour tous et chacun. Nous avons profité des talents culinaires de Maria Helena et de Ana à 5 reprises pour notre plus grand bonheur. Elles sont super gentilles. Nous les avons adorées. Notre hôtesse Ana est également très gentille et toujours prête à répondre à nos différents besoins ou demandes. Merci de tout coeur pour cette grande disponibilité!”

“I booked the property for 19 persons as a celebration for a friend. Paulo was always communicating with us for the months in the build up to the stay. The chef Jose was very friendly and cooked a great breakfast as well as a dinner for our final night. It is around 45 minutes from Lisbon but Paulo helped us organise taxis for a visit into the city on one of our days. There is also a supermarket around 5 minutes drive. Having the football pitch was also a great plus :) if you stick to the house...

“Nice quiet stay away from the hustle of downtown Comporta (~12 min drive). I enjoyed walking to nearby local coffee shop for my espresso and the Leonardo supermarket for some daily supplies. I’m a little on the taller side; so, had to watch my head when walking through the doors (not an issue if one is under 5’10”). Otherwise, having a/c here is a big plus and necessary given the strong summer alentejo sun.”

“We had a really wonderful stay. The house and outdoor areas are fantastic. Carla was very responsive to questions. The beach at Carvalhal is a short walk away and is absolutely gorgeous. It's perfect for kids at low tide and ideal for beginner surfers. We are definitely going to return in the near future.”

“Das Zimmer und das Bad waren super liebevoll modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Außenküche und der Pool waren ein wenig schmuddelig. Marina hat sich sofort gekümmert, wenn etwas fehlte und super schnell per sms geantwortet. Es leben drei Katzen auf dem Gelände, die sehr süß sind, einen aber auch aufdringlich anbetteln. Great vibes
"Lovely place, friendly service, great healthy breakfast, good restaurant. I would advise more efficient E-bikes (which is a lovely idea) and I personally missed a gym for training in addition to yoga. We had a great stay and definitely recommend it"
