“The location of this property was perfect for our needs! We spent the weekend hiking and exploring the outdoors - just what we were looking for. The location was amazing and right on the New River! The house was not as clean as I expected. Missing a few extras to make it a 5 star stay.”

“We enjoyed the quiet and remote features of this private Lansing oasis. Unfortunately while the gas fireplace wasn't working, we were able to run into town and buy wood for the wood burning stove. Definitely recommend for a winter getaway and know the gas fireplace will be repaired soon. Property manager was quick to respond and contact the appropriate maintenance staff. After working on the fireplace for a good hour, it was determined the controller needed replacing. Would certainly return for...

“The is the cutest cottage located in the NC mountains. Comfy and cozy, with a wonderful view. Bob was amazing and made us feel right at home. The cottage is located within a close driving range of several quaint NC towns, Boone, West Jefferson and Sparta. We had a great time exploring these little treasures and getting to meet and talk with the locals. Some awesome places to dine in these areas. Some of our favorites are The Local in Boone, Boondocks in West Jefferson, and The Pines in Sparta....

“We recently stayed at the parsonage, three generations, and enjoyed it immensely. Everything was exactly as stated in the description. It was clean, comfortable, and easily accessible. The host gave clear directions throughout the whole booking process. We enjoyed a fire by the amazing "babbling brook", and my grandchildren had so much fun playing air hockey in the basement. “Great home in a great location. Everything is in walking distance and if you love people watching you have the perfect view to do so from the cozy front porch. The fenced in backyard was great for my senior dog. The Wicked Chicken is right next door and the food and service was a 5 star experience. The Appalachian Distillery was a few easy blocks to walk. So much to do…. And do not forget the Creeper Trail is a step or two away.”

“We had such an amazing stay at this waterfall oasis. We had plans to hike and explore Grayson Highlands, and it ended up being quite difficult to want to leave! We could’ve easily enjoyed several more nights here, and look forward to returning. Thank you so much for thinking of everything under the sun. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. We are so glad we were able to experience a stay and celebrate our anniversary at this wondrous spot. It’s a memory we deeply cherish....

“A wonderful place to stay! Property was clean, stocked with the necessities, and the location was perfect: About 20-30min from downtown Boone, Blowing Rock, and plenty of hikes/overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The host was kind and communicative, and being right on the New River was amazing--each day, I was able to watch beavers, otters, deer, etc. all from the deck. Grateful I was able to stay here, and highly recommend if you're looking for a spot in Boone!”

“Overall it was good. Initially, there was a smell when you walk in but nothing a little febreeze couldn’t handle. Had to wash our sheets because there was a bit of dog hair on them. Great place though and we enjoyed ourselves will definitely be back!”

“The property is so beautiful. We walked the trails several times a day. Our dogs had a great vacation. They loved the freedom of the place. We heard the flying squirrels and were lucky enough to have one float past the window. Nearby we enjoyed the Grayson Highlands State Park. We did a short hike and got to see some wild ponies. The home is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner wants you to have a great experience.”

“The cabin is clean and neat. April responded promptly even when contacted late at night. Her directions to the property are crucial, google maps will not bring you the right place. Would definitely recommend for a cozy get away in the mountains.”
