“It was comfortable and had a very nice breakfast buffet. The only problem we had was at the pool in the evening. There was a large group of you kids unattended. They were jumping, wrestling and yelling and Screaming,plus throwing their pool toys everywhere. They took over half the pool.”

“This is my favorite hotel in Branson. I've been here twice with my family for my kids' dance competitions. Both were at The Mansion, which is next door and an easy walk from the hotel. They have the friendliest staff on the planet and a great breakfast buffet — AND a dessert bar that opens at 8:30 p.m. each night, including cobblers and ice cream. “This seems to be an older property but is still in good shape. No issues with cleanliness and no bugs of any kind seen (and I’m that traveler that always checks the mattresses first thing). Yes the carpet may be faded and stained in spots, but that is likely an indication of heavy use over time by multiple guests. The cobbler and ice cream at night were a nice surprise! “Tried to check in at 330 and was told the room was still being cleaned. Had two rooms. The sink didn't drain in one room and there were dead bugs in the bathroom. The second room one bed had what appeared to be sand or crumbs in it. The beds were hard and had humps in the middle. Also there were about seventeen or better persons out on the patio till well after midnight screaming and being very loud. The breakfast was good.”

“The Retro was a nice place to stay. The only thing I would change would be to have another trash can under the table and put down something in the bottom of the tub. The bottom of the tub was very slick when trying to shower. It would have been nice to have some fruit and protein for breakfast. We had to go buy breakfast to get anything healthy. Overall was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful.”
