“Just returned from wonderful two night stay at Black burn Lodge and it lives up to the rave reviews. Stunning location by the river, where we spent the evenings in the gazebo enjoying the views and a glass of Baileys . The room was spotlessly clean with high quality bedlinen and furnishings. Also separate lounge if weather not great. The hosts make you feel so welcome and provide a lot of formation about where to eat and visit in the area. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.”

“After a 10-hr journey, this was heaven. The staff were friendly and welcoming, food was plentiful and delicious, and the room was well-appointed. The shower had high-pressure hot water and the orange/basil scented soaps and lotions are divine. ”

“A perfect place to stay. Location is right by the side of the solway firth with great views and an array of local birds. The accommodation is of a very high standard and has everything you want. A separate bedroom, bathroom and living room. There is a great range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and they even supply fresh milk daily. When you stay here you are the only guests which gives you the exclusivity and personal touch. Talking of the personal touch, as it was Easter some chocolate...
