“I arrived on a Sunday and had sent a message several days before to say that I would like an evening meal. I went to the dining area at 8pm only to be told that the kitchen had closed for the evening so I was unable to get anything to eat that evening although I was offered crisps. On arrival I was told that the bar would be open until late so I assumed that I would be able to get a bar meal up until about 10pm. “Shocking, even at the price point of £40:00. No matching bedding, toilet ran all Night. The System continued fill with water. The furniture was way passed its sell by date, two of the drawers had NO BOTTOM to them. The pillows were very thin, I have thicker pillow protectors at home. The best thing was it was 4 minutes walk to the train station to get away and back to LONDON. Oh and did I mention the pigeons in the hotel loft space. Sorry to say I would not stay there again.”

“Lovely country hotel with large garden and free parking. Our room had a comfortable bed,fridge, fan and tv . The bathroom was clean with extra large towels. We ate at restaurant for 3 evenings. Menu had a good choice of meals and food was lovely. Restaurant was very busy so pre booking advised. We had a great breakfast each day with hot and cold selections. Bus stops outside to Whitby and Saltburn which was a bonus. Lovely hotel with wonderful staff and we would definately stay again”
