“Kel and Mel made us feel very welcome when we arrived. Gave us ideas about what we could do. We enjoyed a day walking along the canal and the next day to a local sites. The Breakfast was excellent.”

“Lovely staff but unfortunately the room is not fit for purpose, food is decent Was showed room 8 but window broken (35 degree heat) & was given option for room9 a twin. *hole in floor trip hazard *curtain didnt open/close properly *no side lqmp* *Sheets scratchy *broken floor tiles en suite *shower rusty Was given a fan v grateful for but filthy & throwing off bits, cleaned it but not acceptable”

“Very clean and pleasant room with lots of space and amenities. Wonderful guest lounge with all round beautiful views. Attentiveness Welcome and helpfulness of owners. Nothing was too much trouble. ”

“Self-catering accomodation. Quiet neighbourhood central in Chepstow. Very nice bathroom and shower, room clean but very tight, no place for luggage. Extremely steep and narrow stairs, not for those with mobility issues. ;) Nice little backyard, modern and equipped kitchen. Bed smelled weird (sour). Ok (apart from the smelly bed), but expensive for what you get.”

“Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong...

“The checkin was well communicated via email and totally virtual. We had no interaction with any staff. The room was nice but, despite a sign on the bathroom door, a very small step from the bedroom to the bathroom resulted in painful toes as both my wife and I stubbed them on the step. We were in the ‘Deer’ room which is on the third floor. Carrying our luggage up three staircases and narrow corridors was very difficult - there is no lift! There was a lot of street noise until past 11pm. In all,...

“This is, by far, the best B&B we have ever visited. Everything is tidy and in order. The breakfast is absolutly fantastic with homemade jam and bread. We’d love to visit again. ”
