“The weather played havoc with our Memorial Day weekend plans, but we still managed to have a great time. We ended up spending far more time in the Robin’s Nest than originally planned, so I feel confident in saying it was a comfortable home away from home for us. We made a couple of meals and streamed some movies on the smart TV, but mostly we lounged around when we weren’t out seeing the soggy sights.”

“The pictures used for the listing was not what was currently in the house. Upon arrival the wooden planks used for the sidewalk were loose and lifted when you walked. The driveway was overgrown with low tree line. The sidewalk was overgrown with weeds. The yard was in need of mowing. When opening the front door, the smell of “wet dog” instantly hit you. “The house was not clean. Surfaces were sticky, dishes in the cupboard were dirty, the shower had not been cleaned, the toilet was broken, much of the furniture was unstable, including the beds, one of which had a loose pillar, the other with a headboard that was not attached to anything. The entrance through the carport was dangerous and ill-smelling. There was no functioning key to the front door, so entrance had to be made through the carport every time. “Very clean, the hosts had bread and local wine ready which was such a treat! It was so nice to be among the cows and relaxing to be away from the hustle and bustle. We had morning coffee which was also supplied by the hosts! On top of that, there weren’t a lot of cleaning requirements for us to do prior to leaving, which I really appreciated. Would stay again!”

“My friends and I have been doing weekend trips around DC for seven years now and this stay easily had the most amazing views. The pictures do not do it justice. Great beds, one of our folks enjoyed the pool, and all in all we had an amazing time. Note that the sixth bedroom is in the loft. “My friend and I rented this home for a girls out weekend. The home was cozy, clean and well accommodated for our needs. Upon arrival we ran into a small setback with an extra lock on the door keeping us from getting in but Heena responded quickly and walked us through how to get it unlocked. I have a very large SUV that took some maneuvering to get into the driveway but im sure smaller vehicles will not have any issues. Highly recommended if you are looking to stay in Berkley Springs.
