“Simone provided detailed information on getting to the place, parking spot with pictures which made it very easy even though we arrived late. The place itself is beautiful with a lot of nice touches. It was themed true to the pineapple loft name :). There were a lot of beach gear for us to use, books to read, indoor games to play. The kitchen had all the essentials needed to make a meal and the fans and window ac in the bedrooms helped us sleep well. The place itself felt like home. ”

“For our purpose this stop was wonderful. The two hosts are as good as it gets and the setting and the room is so much better than any resort, etc. Super peaceful and beautiful! I'll list the cons: the bathroom oddities as noted by others, and there is nowhere that is "desk-like" to put a laptop. These "cons" didn't apply to us - we loved it! Did I mention the cacao tree?”

“The house was fantastic - great condition and cozy and comfortable. They even provided beach gear like boogie boards, snorkels and beach towels, not to mention local coffee and cookies on arrival. The location was close to grocery stores, easy to get to downtown, and close to the beaches as well. Only downside were loud roosters in the neighborhood, but that's just part of being in Hilo. Overall the stay was fantastic and would definitely stay here next time we're in the area”

“We were very Comfortable and would stay again! Appreciate white linens as it adds to feeling of being clean. Comfortable bed. A/C was a nice perk! Unit was ground level so easy to get baggage in and out. Designated parking spot. House Close to road but never noticed car noise. Did hear foot noise over head but wouldn’t deter from staying again. "Ambitionen att vara ett hållbart boende är god, men det kan inte vara lätt när till exempel återvinning knappt existerar på ön. Men ett gemytligt hotell med trevlig personal. Rummet som låg intill poolområdet var ganska litet och mörkt, men eftersom det fanns flera olika platser med stolar/fåtöljer och bord gjorde det inte så mycket. Dessutom var rummet förhållandevis svalt och sängarna var bekväma. Det finns inte jättemånga restauranger på gångavstånd. Att promenera till centrum tar sin lilla tid och är en tråkig väg (gå inte längs havet, ett staket gör det omöjligt att ta sig över till affärer och restauranger). Hotellet ligger perfekt om man vill ta sig nationalparken med vulkanerna. Det tar 40-45 minuter att köra dit och om man ger sig iväg någorlunda tidigt hinner man få en p-plats även vid de mindre parkeringarna innan kaoset drar igång."

"Bra hotell, stort trevligt rum. Mycket bra läge, nära många sevärdheter. Den inkluderade frukosten torftig (att hämtas i plastlådor!) men i matsalen fanns många alternativ där hotellgäster får prisavdrag. Hotell i USA är oftast svaga gällande hållbarhet, Hilo Hawaiian är inget undantag, t o m lite sämre än De flesta. Städning varannan dag, men material bara för en dag, som dessutom inte påfylldes vid städningen. Lite slarvigt! Annars mycket trevlig personal"
