“Overall, this property was perfect for our family beach vacation. The beach in front of the cottage was near a sand bar so was the slope was gradual and gentle. We enjoyed the game room with table tennis, footsball, and air hockey. The place was inviting, clean, and had all the amenities. Our activities included canoeing the beautiful Ausable River, hiking in the National Forest, shopping in Tawas, ice cream at the Parskside Dairy Shoppe. “When we arrived we had to text to obtain the code which took a while, we found the sliding door was unlocked before the code was sent. When you flushed the toilet a gurgling sound came out of the kitchen sink and it smelled like sewer. Kitchen sink took forever to drain, many windows without screens and the sliding door did not lock nor did it have a screen. Location is good overall comfort was good but the place certainly needs upgrades.”

“Every time we are at Barefoot Beach we instantly relax. It is actually hard to leave! Great facilities, beautiful beach, we have fun sitting by the bonfire. Well worth staying there!”
