“Following three failed attempts to check in on arrival due to an unmanned desk, the rest of the stay was excellent, mostly down to the wonderful Sunny whom ensured our stay was comfortable and with plenty of supplies due to the weather conditions. The only downside was a faulty light in our room which constantly flashed on and off during the night which disturbed our sleep a little. We reported it twice, hoping for repair or a change of room but it was a weekend so no maintenance was available...

“We were amazed what good value it was ,we were the only ones in there so therefore we had the kitchen lounge to ourselves .Do not no how it would be if all 7 rooms were taken ,but we will definitely be back as our sons family live in Huddersfield .”

“light bulb in room was out, we needed to replace the bulb ourselves, and the replacement we got from reception was out too, perhaps the socket is out altogether?”

“This cosy Bed & Breakfast hotel has friendly & helpful staff and feel-home rooms. Hotel is nicely located in the outskirts of Mounton Road. If you want to go to the city centre a taxi to Eccles is your choice and then the tram into Manchester city centre. Pub and food places are a 10-15 minutes walk down the road from the hotel to Mounton Road. Generous parking on the premises that can be insufficient for the guests, however street parking is available nearby as well. Will definitely return here...

“Very helpful staff. Our first room was rather small with a very hard bed, but they changed it to a bigger room for our last night. Some of the boutique rooms have very quirky furniture! The staff were great, and the breakfasts were brilliant. Would stay again - but choose the room carefully.”

“I was the convenient of the shops.but they were a couple of things wrong with the room The toilet flushing system was faulty along with the toilet seat which was loose. The room could do with a bigger tv on the wall so they is more on the desk to work.”

“A cosy little stay just for myself whilst I checked out the university and had an interview. The staff are so friendly and the facilities are comfortable. The bathrooms may be shared but they are always clean ”

“Very pleasant stay at Highfield House over the weekend. Greeted by our host on arrival and all essential information shared. Room (4) was clean and adequate size. Towels etc changed each day where necessary. Only had breakfast on our last morning and regrets that we didn't try it before. It was lovely. Was lucky enough to get one of the parking spaces so didn't need to touch the car all weekend. Its a very showy walk into the busy end of town. Only criticism would be the weak wifi signal which...

“Häftig gammal byggnad men det gjorde nog att de har svårt att fixa bra ventilation. Det var jättevarmt och kvalmigt i rummet, badrummet kändes hela tiden fuktigt. Dålig ljudisolering ut till korridoren och till rummet ovanför. Inga barnstolar tillgängliga så det var svårt att äta i lägenheten med en 1-åring. Ligger lite utanför centrum, om jag skulle åka till Manchester igen skulle jag nog inte välja samma hotell kanske mest pga läget.”
