“Dale’s Vintage Farmhouse was just perfect. We stayed 8 days, using the farmhouse as our home base while we enjoyed the island. Our last day we rested at the farmhouse, just savoring the sights and sounds. Fresh squeezed oj, coquis chirping, gentle breezes blowing. We will truly miss this place.”

“Location is beautiful, easy access to Pāhoa and the ocean. Would definitely stay again; only thing we didn’t like was there were cameras everywhere including where the indoor recreation area is at. We understand the need for security but that part made it feel a little uncomfortable.”

“The house was perfect for us. It was the best equipped rental we have experienced. The house was located between two cute towns. The farm was very serene and peaceful but there were plenty of things to do in the area. We loved the goats who were more like dogs. They would run to the fence to be petted. “In Hawaii we speak of Mana, to outsiders that can be felt in something that raises the hair on the back of your neck. You feel it in the air, something mysterious but not so silly as ghosts. No, this house is filled with a spirit of its own where you can feel the life of all those that have passed through these doors. If the walls could speak it would tell you the stories of some great writer who sat where you are now staring out to the stream below. If there was one word to describe this house...

“I loved the location of this vacation home. Updates from the photos as far as the kitchen is that the fridge is bigger and outside on the porch along with the induction cooktop. The grill was in great working condition. I really enjoyed cooking and eating outside on the porch. The view is spectacular. Jim was an amazing host and took the time to walk me around. I will be booking with Jim and Kim again.”

“We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard.”
