“Hannah and Tanner have a great place down a deadend, 1 lane road, in a beautiful and intimate neighborhood. The room is great, wood floors, cathedral ceiling, tiled bathroom, a/c, TV, etc. They are less than a mile from downtown Hilo. Don't be shy on asking them for advice on what's happening in the area - great communicators. Awesome place to call your base on the Hilo side.”

“Couldn’t ask for a more peaceful, secluded, beautiful location. A ridiculously comfortable bed. The Bali-style open-air bathroom is unique and luxurious. And a gentle greeting from the house dog was a nice bonus.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this particular condo due to it's location on property as well as it's proximity to both Kings and Queens shopping centers. So convenient to be able to walk to both. The Condo was very clean, furniture in great condition and nicely decorated as well. It was very roomy, could easily accommodate a family of 6 (it has a loft with two twin beds). This condo is on the 3rd floor (there is an elevator) and the view of the golf course is wonderful way to start your morning...

“One of our best memories of Hale Lokahi was our gasps as we walked into the house for the first time. Wow, everywhere we looked was breathtaking. Three disappearing glass walls, two with expansive ocean views, surrounded the beautifully appointed living room that opened onto the huge pool. There was the enormous, well-appointed kitchen and an adjacent dining room with another wall of disappearing glass looking onto the front garden and towards the mountains and north coast. Two large ensuite...

“We are not resortish people and this was a great alternative. everything we needed was in walking distance or short drive. Nights were peaceful and we enjoyed the privacy of the pool and hot tub. The odd plane flying over when the winds were rarely in that direction was actually quite a site rather than annoyance. Jomo looked after a couple of requests immediately. Thanks for a great stay.”

“Enjoyed our stay.Pool and barbecue facilities well maintained.Location was excellent for walking around and seeing the sights. Accommodations were comfortable. Ice and water dispensers did not work on the refrigerator. Cutlery needs replacing in kitchen .”

“Nice place, has everything. Only complaint was the upstairs Neighbor. Up at 5am stomping till 7am. Earplugs didn’t even help. Not the best thing to be woken up to on vacation every morning.”

Very clean condo.(Could leave cleaning supplies for daily cleaning: ie: windex, disinfect wipes, ant spray, etc) Mattresses on beds were too soft for our liking...need new pillows for beds... Easy access to pools, shops and beaches! Great location...quiet surroundings. Simple check in and out. Property management on top of everything! Texted us several times to make sure everything...

“Staying at Sammy’s home was a life-changing experience. The entire property is spectacular; phenomenal views, the enchanting sounds of the coqui frogs and passing rain, and surrounded by nature’s beauty. The house is well stocked and beautifully renovated with moments around every corner to be appreciated. Watching the sunset from the pool and hot tub was the perfect way to end a long day of adventures. Far better than staying in a hotel. Best Vrbo rental and host…we will return for sure!”

“In Hawaii we speak of Mana, to outsiders that can be felt in something that raises the hair on the back of your neck. You feel it in the air, something mysterious but not so silly as ghosts. No, this house is filled with a spirit of its own where you can feel the life of all those that have passed through these doors. If the walls could speak it would tell you the stories of some great writer who sat where you are now staring out to the stream below. If there was one word to describe this house...

“I loved the location of this vacation home. Updates from the photos as far as the kitchen is that the fridge is bigger and outside on the porch along with the induction cooktop. The grill was in great working condition. I really enjoyed cooking and eating outside on the porch. The view is spectacular. Jim was an amazing host and took the time to walk me around. I will be booking with Jim and Kim again.”

“We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard.”
