The hosts have accomplished absolute magic in their herculean efforts to make this building a draw for the town. They succeeded wildly, with only a few new-lodging quirks to work out. The design is just enough, with subtle details somehow receding into the character of the moment rather than feeling obvious and cliché. We have been waiting for years to see what might be accomplished here, with not high hopes....

“This was our second time to Belfast and the Ocean House. We stayed a few years ago on a couples trip and returned in 2023, this time with our kids (18yrs and 14yrs). Both trips were amazing! The Ocean House is a beautiful property with great gathering spaces and room for everyone to spread out. Seth & Greg are fantastic hosts. We can’t wait to return!”

“My main reason for picking this property was its closeness to the airport, however, it turned out to be a little too far from Acadia national park. It was new and clean, however, people walking upstairs, transmitted noise significantly through the ceiling. And although I did not contact the manager for help, the thermostat did not work.”

The front wall of windows overlooks the river as well as. the local businesses on the Main Street with all of the people coming and going. Delightful!! The only issue noted is with check-in: we arrived after dark. We found the parking lot easily, but in the parking lot we saw only signs that said that there was no entrance permitted to the condos. “It was cozy and squeaky clean! A nice little cabin with about everything you need there. She even had decaf coffee Kuerig which was perfect for me! I'd highly recommend this space. It's quiet and tucked just back off the road.”
