“The property was clean and in a quiet area. The room was nice check in was easy. The owners were very nice cooked us delicious breakfasts and had great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. I would definitely stay again. That area of Maine is beautiful and there were many Portland, Brunswick and many nice seaside villages within a short drive. Had a great time and would go back tomorrow if I could. ”

The location was perfect within walking distance to a number of great restaurants, pubs and grocery store. We hiked two days in the area - can’t wait to come back!”

“The inn is very cute and we enjoyed our stay. The so-called continental breakfast, however, was very disappointing. There were just a few very mundane options to choose from, so we paid money to eat elsewhere.”

“The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. There is a shared bathroom for the floor, which was fine for us since only one other room was occupied. (I don’t know how that goes when the inn is full.) We did not take advantage of any of the other common areas (living room w/TV, sitting room). The entire house is beautifully decorated in the Victorian style, with lots of furniture, busy wallpaper, and decorative items on the shelves, dressers and side tables. It looked great, but I was afraid...

“The Inn Keeper was so kind and made it so easy to check in. The property was well maintained and quiet. I do need to mention that the stairs going up to my room were absolutely treacherous, having the steepeat incline Ive ever seen on a staircase. I have mobility issues, which made it quite scary.”

“Old Saco Inn in is an excellent family-run hide-out in a besitiful forest, very secluded but still near to most interesting things to do in the Mt Washington area. One of the best places we stayed at, incl. some five-star hotels, on our three week family round-trip in New England.”

Unfortunately we were up and out too early to have breakfast, but I have read great things about it! Overall, it was a peaceful stay and we had a great time in Maine. ”
