Cozy Cabin with Slip Dock on Lake Hartwell

This cozy cabin that I have owned for over 20 years is a wonderful example of late-20th-century modern vacation home design. Tastefully decorated and carefully updated, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at every turn.

- 30x50 covered boat dock with slip for your boat and swim ladder

- Basement playroom with full-size pool table, wet bar, and 48” surround-sound TV

- Mosquito treatment of the grounds – March thru October
Other Amenities
- 3 Bedrooms, 2 baths on main level, full bath in basement. Bedrooms feature a queen bed in the master, a queen bed in the second, and twin beds in the third. A surprisingly-comfortable queen-size air mattress is available for use in the basement allowing for up to eight guests. Approximately 1,100 sq. ft. on each level
- Stainless steel appliances including French-door refrigerator with in-door water/ice (cubed and crushed)
- Glass topped electric range
- High-efficiency electric heat pump
- Boat ramp just a little over a mile away

This property is an absolute gem—peacefully tucked away and surrounded by beautiful trees, it offers a truly serene escape. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful design and top-tier amenities.I was traveling with my elderly mother for a wedding memorial weekend and needed a space that prioritized both comfort and accessibility. This cottage exceeded all expectations. The single-level bedroom layout made it easy for us to stay close, while the spacious lower level—with its wet bar and second refrigerator—was perfect for entertaining. It struck the perfect balance between shared space and private retreat.The host has clearly thought of everything. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living areas are cozy and welcoming, and the entertainment space downstairs is ideal for group activities. Having access to a washer and dryer was a much-appreciated convenience.A true highlight is the large private dock, nestled in a quiet cove away from the hustle of lake traffic—a peaceful spot to unwind by the water. It’s evident the host has put great care into making this cottage feel like a home away from home.If you're searching for a well-appointed, tranquil retreat with outstanding hospitality, look no further. We’re incredibly grateful for our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

We stayed for the month of February. I am a bass fishing enthusiast. I have fished in many places and really enjoy it. The host Doug was extremely helpful with my boat and trailer and was willing to assist putting the boat in and taking it out. This is our second time staying and it was just as great as the first time. We love staying at this house. My husband enjoyed fishing all day while I stayed and read by the fire. It was so relaxing. The hosts are so nice and the best on VRBO.

Doug, the property owner was professional, friendly and responsive. The property is located on a great section of Lake Hartwell as it's quiet and private. We loved hanging out at the boat dock and using the kayak's and floaties. The beds were comfortable, and the place was clean and exactly as pictured.

This was the perfect property and home for what we needed. Our family of 5 stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for fishing, floating in the lake, canoeing and just being together. The cove is peaceful and quiet. Doug, the owner, was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to be back!!

The house was big enough for all of us to have fun yet cozy and warm. We celebrated our grandson’s graduation and 18th birthday with fishing on the dock (caught fish too) and played pool and used the sturdy kayaks for cruising up and down the immediate waterway. We were very close to the opening to the lake so had great view of boats going by. We could have sat out on the dock every night. It was sooooo peaceful and the fish seemed to bite better in the evening. Our time here with the family was one that each of us will remember forever
each of us for our own reasons. We truly had a wonderful time!

This property was perfect for our family of six with 4 teens. Downstairs den area with pool table gave them some space to hang out and watch movies. Beautiful deck and gardens outside to relax and read, very private. We saw deer everyday while out running and even from the water when kayaking and using our SUPs. Easy walk to the dock and the property was laid out so nice if you want to grill or use fire pit. Doug is so helpful and kind. We also got to visit the Hart County Botanical Garden which was amazing, what a treasure!

We had a great week in this cabin. We all enjoyed the pool table - we are a very competitive family. We shared lots of laughs around that table every night! Cabin is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved walking through the garden area. Owners are very responsive and kind. We will definitely be staying here again.

This was a very relaxing place to stay and it was hard to leave at the end of our trip. My husband enjoyed being able to park his boat at the dock and go bass fishing. I loved staying and reading by the fire. Having a fireplace made the experience that much more enjoyable. The place is very very clean and charming. Even though this is a lake house, it reminds of being in a tree house with all the trees around. You can even see "fairies" in the trees at night! A great place to come to relax. The host is very accommodating and checked on us to see if we needed anything. It was hard to leave and I hope we can stay here again in the future. We loved it very much.

For 7 years we've traveled to Lake Hartwell the weekend before NC schools start back. We've stayed in campers, tents, houses, trailers and this location was, by far, one of our absolute favorites. Doug was very nice to work with - detailed and responsive. The house was bright, open, welcoming and in a perfect location - felt completely secluded but only a 15-20 minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants. The property was beautifully nestled in the woods for quiet morning coffee on the large deck but situated perfectly on the lake with a nice dock for swimming and boating. We are already looking at our calendars for next year, hoping to book again! Thanks so much!
