Welcome to Sunrise Retreat!

This beautifully appointed home boasts vaulted ceilings, charming woodwork, stonework, and huge windows that frame peaceful lake views. Fifteen minutes from downtown Hartwell, this home is situated on a serene lake lot and features dramatic views from all 3 levels. Make yourself at home and enjoy the many custom features that this 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath residence has to offer including luxury linens, gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances, granite countertops, wet bar on basement level, hot tub, stone fireplace, fire pit, washer and dryer, charcoal grill, double deck boat dock, and much more. Smart TVs throughout home, wifi, and 3+ car parking for your convenience. As if the lake activities aren't enough, pool table, ping pong, arcade game, board games, & puzzles are sure to keep all entertained! This location and the Lake Hartwell area can't be beat! Kayaking, hiking, brewery & wineries, shopping, golfing, fishing, star gazing, boating, great restaurants and more. Boat in photos is not accessible for guests. There are boat rental options at local marinas.
Lily pad (blue) float is off limits. Guests are welcomed to use kayaks. Your boat or rental can be tied to either side of the dock for your entire stay.

GREAT house! Nice furniture. Only drawback was it took the house 24 hours to cool off and temp outside was only in the upper 80’s. Didn’t like having to adjust all three thermostats every time they timed out (every 6 hours?)Fantastic lake location. Very close to Sun Life Marina by land and by water. So convenient for pontoon rental. The listing doesn’t give bathroom/bedroom details, but we had 4 couples and each couple had their own bathroom. Great setup! No door on the loft bedroom but great for teens/kids or one couple. Steep steps to go downstairs so downstairs is not for anyone with mobility issues. Access to the path to the dock is through the downstairs den. There is a primary bedroom/onsuite on the main level where the kitchen, great room, pool table room, powder room and large deck are located. Loft has two bunk beds and a full bathroom. Downstairs has a king with bathroom & two queens with a hall bathroom with another great room with large wet bar. The house has everything you need. Lots of towels. Lots of kitchen tools, lots of TV’s. They even left batteries for the remotes. Grill, kayaks, games, books for kids. Jessica, the host was very accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better host! Thank you for a great stay!! We loved it & will come back

Sunrise

Beautiful home but the description of 5 bedrooms is misleading. We were under the impression it had a 5th bedroom but it was a small sitting room with a twin fold out sofa bed and no access to a shower. The bunk room is upstairs with no inclosure so whoever stays there is open to the noise from downstairs. It probably won’t matter to kids. Overall the house has a lot to offer - hot tub, pool table, ping pong & games and the downstairs has another beautiful living area! The top level on the dock was our favorite spot for hanging out and the kids loved the kayaks. It’s in a great location with easy access to Hartwell with a well stocked Ingles and a brand new Aldis. We rented a pontoon for 2 days and enjoyed the beautiful lake.

Yearly family vacationers!

Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodations were exactly as listed. Because of recent rain the water level was deep at the dock. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table available life vests, and children’s kayaks. I would recommend replacing all of the upper deck lounge chairs now. They all have broken webbing and/or broken metal mechanisms and do not work correctly. Other than that we certainly enjoyed the property.

Wonderful house!!

Our son got married at Cateechee this weekend, which was MAGICAL, and this lovely home was the perfect size & location for our family during our 4 days of wedding events. The view and morning sunrise was spectacular!!

Incredible Lake House

We loved our stay. The lake house was perfect with all amenities we needed. The boys loves the pool table. The outdoor space is like a resort… hot tube, fire pit, and comfortable chairs. The dock was awesome, close to the house. We loved spending the afternoon floating. We will come again! Great experience overall!

Great experience at the lake house

House is just as advertised, spacious, comfortable, lots of indoor games, and amazing sunrise view. The kayaks are in good condition, and the kiddy ones are very easy to handle for the little ones. Host is responsive. We had a good time there.
