Perfect stay
The location was perfect, the condo was as advertised, the kitchen was well stocked with flatware, utensils, knives, and appliances. The AC, refrigerator, freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and washer and dryer all worked great. The pool and hot tub were easily accessible and there was a nice beach on the property. No complaints!

We love the property. Just the right number of people around. The grounds are very well maintained as are the pool areas and pools. Also, a lot of food options within walking distance. A great beginning point for the beach walk. We love this place!

Beautiful Views
This condo was quite lovely with beautiful views overlooking the gardens and ocean. We could watch the whales breach while we ate breakfast on the patio. The condo is nicely appointed, but needs A/C units in the bedrooms. The bedrooms are quite warm at night. The A/C only cools the open concept living room, dining area and the kitchen. We ser up fans to move the air into the bedrooms which helped a little, but not nearly enough.

Wouldn’t stay here again
There was no ice chest in condo like mentioned. The washing machine doesn’t even fill up 1/2 way with water, so each load could only hold like 4 pieces of clothing. There were black hairs everywhere when we got there. The AC unit is only in front room so had to leave windows open all night with fans on in bedrooms. Very dated & old. Bed killed our backs, you fall to the middle of it. It was nice to be close to the ocean & sit by wall & watch waves.

Maui new year
Location was great. Facilities were perfect for our multi-generation family vacation, however, the condo was adequate at best. The kitchen especially was poorly equipped. The reason we stayed in a condo was to cook for our family instead of eating out. We ate out a lot because we only had one 5 inch frying pan, zero oven mits or hot pads, zero bbq utensils, three trash bags and two rolls of toilet paper for a ten day, six person stay…..front desk told us if we needed more we had to buy them on our own! Not what I’d expect for nearly $7,000.

Fantastic location ! On arrival you received a text message and a phone call from our Guest Service team . We make sure to let you know if you need anything during your stay to call us directly .Not only will we replenish the items as needed, but we also deliver anything that your unit may not have . There are bbq utensils and oven mitts in the kitchen. On your next stay please call our Guest Service team so we can direct you as to where the items are , and assist you with anything else. Papakea H-205
The Papakea resort and staff were excellent! The layout and view from the unit we rented were as advertised. Overall, the unit was a great layout for 4 ladies on vacation. Beach towels were not available however KBM Resorts staff delivered them in a timely fashion after we emailed them. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. However, this unit would benefit from some baking sheets, oven mitts, additional cooking pots and pans. Placemats and coasters would be an asset. We really enjoyed the amenities and watching whales from the shore. The view from the lanai was lovely and we enjoyed outsell of our meals outside! A great vacation place to be enjoyed.

Smooth stay experience
We did the booking via VRBO with KBM resorts and the stay was in Papakea resort area. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The rooms were clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The beach towels, boogie boards, etc was an added bonus. We would have loved some life vests and snorkel masks too, but we ended up renting those.

The property was located in a great area with easy access to our daily activities. The evenings were quiet and the beds were great. The concierge was very helpful in booking all of the things we wanted to do during our stay in Maui. We would definitely stay here again!

Grew on us!
This place really grew on us! We have been spoiled and stayed mostly at resorts in the past, so at first, the lack of on site restaurant and bar were a bummer and the place felt a little tired, but over time, it really grew on us. Staying in a condo w/o the aforementioned amenities gives you an idea of what it would be like to live in Kaanapali. We really appreciated the small touches like nice beach towels, beach chairs and the bath products are high quality. The master bed was really comfortable too! Check-in was not smooth as they didn't have our reservation on site, so that was troubling but we got it worked out. The condo (H205) could use some updated knives and a new rug in the main room, but is otherwise fine. There is pickle ball on site and they have equipment. Enjoyed the food trucks nearby for dinner one evening and walks on the beach to the left. Also did Ohai Trail which was beautiful. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Great stay at Great location
Beautiful property at great location with nice amenities, wonderful views, and easy access to beaches and activities in west and northwest Maui. It really had everything we needed for a family of 4 and the Times grocery store is within walking distance. However, since we like to do 1-2 meals at the condo daily and the wait times for the restaurants were very long during out stay, the kitchen utensils and supplies could be expanded. Nonetheless, we would definitely recommend and stay here again without hesitation.

Just what we needed
Clean. Convenient. Slept 6 of us. Included beach umbrella, 2 beach chairs, 5 beach towels and a cooler. Not fancy but was a good place for us to crash and make food. Nice pool and well kept grounds. No beach behind property but has a sea wall and a beautiful view. Can walk down to a beach within 5-10 minutes. Great area and walking distance to grocery store and food trucks at night. Walls are very thin. No locks on bedrooms or bathrooms. The place is cooled by a swamp box on the lanai and is a bit noisy but we had such mild weather we could turn it off when using the lanai. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Lovely Lahaina Condo
We had an amazing stay at Papakea, unit H205. The view was breathtaking, the condo was spotless, everything we could have needed was included. The location was perfect too-close to everything at Kaanapali Beach and downtown Lahaina. I would defiantly stay here again.

the grounds were clean.
The air conditioner in the unit was too loud to keep on at night and did not reach the bedrooms. the ensuite shower smelled musty to the point where we did not use it. the appliances were all very old. safe did not work and the internet was very slow. We were woken up every morning from the noise in the parking lot. We were disappointed in this unit and would not stay here again.

Regarding WIFI, we recommend using the "5G" as this function can be much quicker when using multiple smart devices on a single network. Wonderful stay!
We have stayed at this property a couple years ago and liked the family atmosphere. Our unit had a wonderful view of the grounds and beach. The only negative was we opened the cooler to bring to beach and had an overwhelming smell of a very stinky cooler no problem just a bit of a surprise. The shopping bag filled with beach towels was a wonderful touch. But the box of chocolates was about the best. Right down to having ice ready. The big things that made our stay wonderful. Thank you!

great get away
This was a great pace for a family vacation. The resort is spotlessly clean, the grounds are beautiful and it is quiet a peaceful. Although close to all the action of the west coast and a quick drive to town or the best beaches, it is a peaceful retreat once inside the complex. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable and there was no noise from the adjacent units. I would highly recommend this unit and resort!

KBM Papakea Resort
KBM was very nice to work with and answer all my questions. The 2 bedroom 2 bath at the Papakea Resort was clean and they provide sweet treat. It was nice to be provided beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler and a large umbrella. Didn't receive a 5 star because I could not use my Enterprise upgrade with the rental car that was included.

Property is beautifully maintained with spectacular views. Amenities are terrific.
Hawaii is clearly an expensive vacation. The addition of very high cleaning fees, booking fees and then resort fees make it feel like you're being taken advantage of after already paying for a not inexpensive condo. I think the booking and cleaning fees are price gouging. But it seems one can't get away from this on the Island. It does influence the overall feeling being at an otherwise gorgeous facility. Of course this isn't unique to Papakea. And so specifically I think Papakea is just stunning. The property is immaculate. So beautifully landscaped and all the amenities anyone could want. We used much of what is offered which added to a wonderful time here. Would I come back? Recommend this to a friend? Most definitely. This is our first time to Hawaii. Celebrating our 40th anniversary. It was a pretty big deal to be able to come here so please don't misunderstand my comments. I wouldn't leave if I didn't have to. One other minor criticism- being asked to run a dishwash, take out the garbage, and take care of towels etc. really shouldn't be expected with a $225 cleaning fee. After all, I'm on vacation. I get to do those things in my home! Thanks for your consideration. I hope I get to return someday.

Couldn't Ask For A Better Condo In Maui!
We've stayed at various condos in Papakea for quite a few years and this property was probably one of the best units that we've ever stayed at! The condo is very well equipped with not only the normal kitchen necessities, but all the extra items that are many times missed in other condos. Boogie Boards, full size ice chest(used almost every day), oversized beach towels, books...you name it, they had it covered! This unit has a great view that we enjoyed every day...probably could have stayed on the balcony all day, everyday and be totally content! If things got a little warm, the AC did a great job cooling things down. However, we rarely used it...the tropical crosswinds were a perfect cool down for the unit. We normally stay on the 4th floor in condos that have the loft. Those are great spaces for sure, but this 2-bed/2-bath unit on the 2nd floor actually felt larger and was more comfortable by far...for a family of four, we never felt cramped in this unit. Of course, Papakea is a great property to stay at...perfect for families! Beautiful grounds that I could easily live at permanently and enjoy every single day! For me personally, Papakea is truly my "happy place"! Finally, the services provided by KBM Hawaii was superb! They made the rental process extremely easy and the rental car that was packaged with the rental was a great deal. I highly recommend working with KBM and will most likely be renting our next Papakea stay from KBM. Bottom-line, Papakea is a wonderful place to stay in Maui and its hard to find anything bad about staying in any unit at that property. But...from someone who's stayed at Papakea many times over the years, this unit is a true winner...you can't go wrong!

Overall the place was awesome. To bad about the construction! If you are looking for direct beach access there's none. Also KBM didn't let us know about the $17/day fee for the resort. ( had no problem paying it but it would have been nice if we were told in advance ) We used the resort's facilities for booking a helicopter ride and got a good deal. Again an awesome experience and love that it came with a rental car included in the price. That was the selling point for us. 😊👍
