Don’t recommend.
Location - right next to the dumpster and the smoking section… nothing like trash and smoke smell all week. The room was similar to a rundown super 8, not clean, the beds were not comfortable and didn’t really feel comfortable staying there. There was 1 box of Kleenex with 2 tissues in it, lack of dishes had us running dishwasher daily, and the demands by the host made us feel like we had to leave it cleaner than when we came. We were not impressed in the least and will not recommend nor stay here again.

Respectful October 2023 Visit
We absolutely loved this unit. After a 6 hour flight and several more hours waiting for bags, getting groceries and driving from the airport, we couldn’t have asked for a better condo. Traveling with a 7 month old and 10 year old is not always easy and as soon as we opened the door we felt right at home. The unit is spotlessly clean, the beds (king and sofa) were very comfortable, the lanai, ocean view and first floor location were perfect. It’s a good thing the pools closed at 8pm, otherwise our 10 year old might never have gone to bed. The pools are literally steps from the unit. Also, there is a pocket door separating the kitchen from the bedroom/bathroom. It was a wonderful surprise that gave us extra buffer when our 7 month old was asleep in the bedroom. The only thing we didn’t have was more vacation time to stay on Maui. We all agreed we’d be back. Extra kudos to Fereshteh for being an exceptionally responsive and helpful host. When you visit please keep in mind that West Maui is still raw and hurting from the August fires. We led with respect and kindness and we were met with Aloha.

Our best stay in Maui
Fereshteh was super-quick to respond to our inquiries due to a rental pivot. She was able to arrange for a quick cleaning which allowed us to check-in early. The condo was spacious, clean, and well-stocked. We especially loved being able to walk out to the beach every night to watch the sunset. Overall, one of our most relaxing vacations in Maui!

Amazing trip
What an amazing trip. This is our 3rd time to Maui, but our first time saying in Kaanapali Shores. It is in a great location, and has everything you need on property or within walking distance. We saw whales everyday from the beach, and spent tons of time playing in the pool. What an amazing time. The condo is well equipped, quiet, and has a view of the ocean from the lanai and the bedroom. Great trip.

Enjoyed our stay at this condo
We enjoyed our stay at the condo. The complex seems to be a bit older, but the condo was nice and had everything we needed. We liked having a ground floor unit with washer/dryer inside. There is a smaller beach area in front of the complex that appears during low tide. Otherwise, it’s rocky. But the neighboring complex has a larger beach area that is adjoined and just steps from this one. It’s also an easy walk to the boardwalk and the larger Ka’anapali beach area. Restaurants and a grocery store are in short walking distance too. Overall, we’d look at staying here again next time we visit Maui.

Great location with a view of the water, easy access from parking lot and walk right out to the beach. It says it sleeps 4 but it’s very small. We had 3 for a couple days and it was a little crowded, but I’d stay here again with just 2 of us

We rented 2 suites at this resort for a family vacation. Our adult children stayed in this one. Great resort. Spacious suite. Beautiful beach. A few minor issues that our kids didn’t tell us about with the room and when reported, owner was a bit defensive because we didn’t tell her on day 1. Not a deal breaker for staying there but the tone was not what I would expect from a VRBO owner. All the reviews are 5 stars. Ours isn’t just because of the emails. Otherwise great spot!

I am glad to know your children enjoyed their vacation at our condo. I am sorry I was shocked on day 6 of your stay you sent a message that dishwasher was not draining and you sent a picture telling me the cleaners did not empty the dishwasher. I told you I know 100% the dishwasher was empty when your family arrived. I sent a colleague to check the dishwasher and he found and corrected the reason for the lack of draining. After my reply, you did email and said the dishwasher WAS empty and that you had misunderstood what your children had told you. Once our cleaners are finished with cleaning, we have the condo inspected to make sure the condo is ready for our next guests. The picture of a dishwasher full of dishes on day 6 and the claim the dishwasher was not emptied prior to arrival was a big surprise to us.

Unit is in a great location on the property, extremely close to the pool. Clean and well furnished. Very responsive owner. Short walk to beach as property itself has a rocky shoreline. Good variety of shopping and restaurants in close proximity to resort. Nice to have pools (garden pool is lovely), bar, and restaurant in center of property.

Great location both for the property and the unit. A mere 30 second walk to the beach or pool/hot tub. All the accommodations needed for a long stay. Host was very quick and great at communication. Great Location!
Close to grocery store and food trucks, not to mention a view of the ocean with a beach just steps away. There was live music poolside both evenings we hung out there, which was nice and unexpected. The on-site gym is well equipped with much more space, machines and free weights than a typical hotel. We spent a lot of time exploring Maui but enjoyed our time at this unit as well. Slept great in the comfy bed and were never disturbed with outside noise. It suited our needs for the week very well.

The unit is outstanding. It is large and spacious, private with a great view. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean are magnificent. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai having dinner, coffee, or a cocktail. Fereshteh was responsive and very accomodating. Overall, a great vacation experience.

Unit was nice. I read reviews about needing updated but thought everything was nice and modern. Perfect location. The kitchen and living room area is amazing. Loved the huge tall patio doors. This unit was perfect for our needs. My one complaint is the living room arear TV. There is a big, open living room with a couch on one side and this little tiny tv all the way on the other. TV's are too inexpensive not to have one a bit bigger that you can actually watch. Either way I will be back.

Loved the unit
We loved the location of this unit. It was close to outdoor parking and we were able to load and unload via the patio door. With our daughter and her family in another resort, they were able to come and pick us up and drop us off easily with a 30 minute grace period for parking. There was a little misunderstanding about checking in as the front desk and unit manager are REALLY separate. In checking in for parking and towel cards we were also allowed to go to our unit. Apparently we were to check with the unit manager before actually entering the unit. But all went well and we had a very nice time.

Amazing!
Our stay at Ka'anapali Shores #112 was wonderful! The unit was clean, spacious, comfortable and the walk out lanai was wonderful. We stayed with our 1.5 year old and loved walking right out to play the grass and enjoyed being just a short way from the beach and pool. The condo had boogie boards, beach chairs and pool/beach toys. The pools were beautifully redone and perfect for all ages. It was a close walk to food trucks, restaurants and a beautiful oceanfront boardwalk. Communication with the owner was easy and our stay was perfect. Would absolutely recommend!

Beautiful and Relaxing
This place really is just steps away from the beach with all the conveniences of home. The resort is great with nice pools and hot tubs, plus a picturesque walking path near the family pool. We loved being on the ground floor and walking right out to all the amenities. Very smooth interaction with the manager and check-in was a breeze.

Very happy with our stay
First time visitors to Hawaii. We have a 3 yr old and I absolutely loved that it was the ground floor so I could open the doors and she could play in the yard. The Easter Bunny even came! Was able to park in a lot in the back right next to the unit. Grounds and pool were beautiful. So many little fish ponds! Small beach area but def had enough sand to entertain the kiddo. We felt safe and lots of local restaurants nearby but it's kinda far from the airport where walmart and more chain style restaurants are. Loved the road to Hanna but again it's kinda far, but I will say I saw nothing in those areas as far as resorts that I would have wanted to stay in so I think we made the right choice. Decor wasn't what I would pick but it was fine and things were in good condition. Appreciated the vase for flowers that we bought. Could use a pitcher for coolaide/tea. Bed was comfy. Water could have been hotter in the tub at times. If I wanted to return to the area I would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful property in a magical place
We loved this home in Kaanapali Shores. Unit has an upgraded interior and furnishings, everything we needed for a week's stay. Just a few steps from the lanai to the sand, perfect. Beach chairs, boogie boards, medium sized cooler made it all that much better. The pool and facilities were very nice. We arrived the first day of yhe new Covid19 testing restrictions and the people getting us into the hotel were super friendly, patient and helpful. We had an incredible time in Maui and many Mahalos for letting us stay in this beautiful unit 🤙🤙

Bad time for being in Maui!
The place appeared nice and well located but bathroom was in bad condition. No instructions for using tv so asst.manager came to help with that and showed her bathroom and told of roaches. Prompt action from plumber but back bathroom wall still needs repaired. Bad time to be in Maui because of virus. Most people left and it was like a tomb. We left five days early and have wondered if any refund might be offered since we did get some from resort parking, plane, and car rental.

I am glad we were available to answer all of your calls within minutes of each call. The leak in the bathroom under the toilette was repaired right away and we provided you complimentary mid stay cleaning. Please read our other reviews. Everything you want in a Maui rental
This is our second time renting from this VRBO owner and the first time at the Kaanapali Shores. The first floor location was ideal for our family. Although not a higher up floor with an amazing view; the proximity to the pool was great for our family (imagine multiple trips to the room throughout the day). Our patio was next to the parking lot on the right but had a great view on the left (plus an expansive lawn for the kids to play soccer). The condo itself had a fantastic array of amenities - fully stocked kitchen and lot's of beach toys/chairs/boogie boards. There were plenty of tools and nice little extras that we weren't expecting. The only additions I'd add to make it perfect would be dishwashing soap and a pitcher in the kitchen. The location itself was fantastic - right across the street from a shopping plaza with restaurants and a grocery store, right next to a food truck plaza and walking distance to shops. The hotel had two pools that were never crowded - not fighting for seats or chairs. And the beach was great in terms of beach and water (not rocky). All in all - we had an amazing nine days and wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit again.

Enjoyable Maui Condo
Wife and I stayed 16 night here and enjoyed it very much. The location on the shaded exterior side of the property was perfect. After spending the afternoon in the sun it was nice have relief of the shaded patio. Also interior condos suffered from Mynah birds singing in the morning and evening before and after sunset. Quite loud they are and great to hear as you walk out to the pool but I am certain some folks in the interior units quick tired of the noise. Thankfully we are in an exterior unit with no bird noise. The condo is large with a king bed and the kitchen appointed with nicer counter top appliances. The bonus of Kaanapali Shores is it is one of the few places where you can see the surf from the pool. Other resorts to the south have a boardwalk and narrow dunes area between the beach and pool area. All in all we had a very nice stay and would recommend staying here.

Perfect location.
Very clean unit only steps from the beach. Loved being on the ground floor with easy access to the pools or beach. Fereshteh was very responsive to any questions or problems we had. Washing machine was broken and the owner came by to try to have it fixed with no luck. We were able to use the washing machines in the complex so no problem. Loved the unit and the location! good location
The property was conveniently located and clean when we arrived. However there were a swarm of ants on the lanai / balcony. It was actually impossible to use it. The ants were so prevalent that you couldn’t step out there without having ants all over your feet. The balcony actually is just 10feet away from a large commercial size garbage which is where the parking is. While conveniently located and close to parking, if you plan to use the lanai then this is not the property for you. Separately, we had a broken washer that washed our clothes but would not drain. We were stuck with broken washer the entire duration of our stay. As advised by the property manager, Maui is a small island and impossible to find repair/service personnel. If you have a baby, I would recommend booking directly with Aston kshores so that if there is a broken washer then you could ask gem to swap a unit. Aside from the washer, the unit was clean and the property manager was very responsive!

Thank you for your review. We do our best to keep our condo in clean and top shape. Unfortunately, sometimes an item will need service and we do out best to get it services ASAP. I am very surprised to hear there were ants outside the condo. You never mentioned it during our communications while I was trying to schedule the repairs for the washer. I am sorry about the inconvenience about the washer needing service during your stay. The part did arrive and the washer is working great now.

PERFECT Location and host!
Upon arrival the check-in process was seamless. We opened the front door only to reveal our gorgeous 1 bedroom condo for the week.. THEN... you open the patio doors to paradise. The beach is 30 steps away from the patio and the pool (s) are steps away from the front door. The parking is only steps away from the condo. The location couldn't be more perfect and convenient. Any issues that may have arose, it took less than 5 minutes for a response and less than an hour to be completely taken care of! We found Maui to be our new destination to paradise and we can only hope THIS property and THIS specific condo are available each and every year for us to rent!

What a great resort!
Very impressed with the resort and the unit. Concerns regarding the unit (clogged bathtub) were addressed promptly and without any hassle. The rest of the unit was in very good condition. The resort is a hidden gem. Exceeded our expectations. It was a little odd that they limit pool towels to one per person. There are many services contained right inside the hotel. We really enjoyed the area. It is highly convenient with plenty of restaurant options nearby. The food carts were great. The beach was smaller but beautiful.

AMAZING ROOM!!
This property was awesome! We stayed with 2 other families at Kaanapali Shores. They paid a lot more for their rooms and were jealous of ours! We hosted dinner 3 different night as a result. The pictures don't truly show how nice this unit is. It has BRAND NEW flooring and a beautiful kitchen. It is 1st floor and the patio opens to a huge grass area that we played catch and football on. You can also see the ocean from patio. There were boogie boards and chairs in the unit and its a 20 second walk to the beach. No having to lug stuff up and down elevators. Our friends need up leaving all there chair and boards on our patio as a result. You are also 20 seconds from the pool too!! No lie. We must have made 10 lava flows a day for the pool and beach! The owner was truly amazing as well. There was a fire the day we were to fly out and our flight got canceled. Fereshteh worked out an arrangements for us and were were able to stay another night and they catch our rescheduled flight the next day. Cant say enough about her hospitality and how easy it was to book. Will defiantly be staying in this unit again.

Perfect Unit with a kid
We had such a great time at this property. The unit itself is very nice, clean, and modern. The best part is that you are on the first floor so your patio goes right out to a great big grass lawn. That was great for our 2 year old to run and play. Fereshteh the owner was fantastic as well. She went way out of her way and purchased a brand new pack and play for our son during our stay. We have stayed at most of the resorts in this area and this was by far the best. The other resorts are all nice as well, but the location of this unit is the key factor. Absolutely going to stay here again. Thanks again Fereshteh!

Perfect Ground Floor Unit!
We thoroughly enjoyed our ground floor unit! The condo is a perfect location for easy access to the ocean, the parking lot, the pool, and the main lobby. Spacious, very well appointed and perfect location
We have had a terrific vacation in suite #112. We have stayed in the Kaanapali area before including other suites in the resort and #112 is the most well-appointed and comfortable we've seen. The ground floor location with access to a large green space and beach out the sliding door is a game changer! The suite's location provides a very short distance to the carpark for easy accessibility. The 2nd pullout couch was a bonus and both are comfortable (even for hide a beds). The kitchen has all the supplies you'll need. The home owner was very hospitable upon arrival and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. We felt at home very quickly in #112 and very highly recommend choosing it for your vacation. We will look to book here again.

Comfortable Well Appointed Condo
I can't say enough good things about this rental, from start to finish the service was first class! The condo is beautifully decorated and has all the essentials needed for an enjoyable stay. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience with superb communication and making sure the essentials are stocked; paper towels, trash bags, dish detergent as well as dishwasher pods, new kitchen sponge/scrubber, and toilet paper. The grounds are beautiful and the 1st floor location provides the convenience of being able to open sliding glass door and head to the ocean. Great place!
We really enjoyed our stay. Loved our unit. Being on the ground floor with a view of the ocean was awesome. Fereshteh was very easy to deal with and very accommodating. We were a bit disappointed that there was no beach at the Shores but soon found out a great beach was only minutes away. We would definitely stay there again. Hopefully next time the weather will be better, it was windy and raining for the first half of our stay but did get better.
