“Property clean and convenient to Seaham. Two short flights of stairs to rooms with 3 sets of doors to go through. No lift and no help to get luggage to room. Registration at bar and staff was busy with patrons so check in and out took time. Parking on site. Security good. ”

“Easy to check in. Was very surprised how well kept and clean the room was and actually matched the photos, very impressed. Also very quiet considering it is right next to the A1. On returning from a wedding we had the pleasure of speaking with Michael on reception who is a credit to the hotel, fantastic hospitality and chat, such a laugh! “I had to booked to stay overnight. When I arrived. I checked in approx 2045. Went to room. Seemed to be dirty room, as edges of carpet not hoovered. mattress exposed appeared tired. Hallway on 2nd floor smelled of weed and urine. The door just next to mines had been kicked off the hinges. Was wide open with damage. I raised issue with Khizai, I checked out and didn't stay as didn't feel safe. As seems to be shady individuals dealing drugs at the premises. I have messaged for resolution but no...

“The room we were staying, the decor was tired - not worthy of a 4 star hotel unfortunately. Upon arrival, wardrobe door was hanging off hinges, the wifi receiver box was hanging of the wall - room was also very dark. Pointed out wardrobe door to concierge and they had it fixed the next day, but should have been done before guest arrival - tables in hallway tired and peeling off. The staff was friendly though, especially in the breakfast room. Breakfast had a good choice.”

“Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach.
