The challet is in a great location, less than an hour from Yosemite valley, Hetch Hetchy dam or Sonora, but in a very quite location at the end of a road. You can get there easily, just go to the end of paved Hells Hollow road and then keep straight on the dirt road until you reach 2111 and the gate. “It took over an hour for me to be able to get into the cabin - wrong code for door. I received the correct code the next day. A door was left opened and that is how I was able to get inside - very unsafe. No napkins and no response. It took a little over 30 minutes to be able to get inside the community because of car check in. I was told parking was $40 per car and when I arrived it was $50. I asked for the listed price to be honored and was told no. I was told twice that I would get a response...

“Oaks Retreat was the perfect location for our stay outside of Yosemite National Park. In addition to spending full days in the park, we explored Bear Valley, Coulterville and the surrounding area. Highly recommend the area.The house was clean and comfortable, with "nice to have" items in the house: electronic chargers, reference materials for local establishments and places to explore. ”

“We had a fantastic stay here. The house was very spacious and had all the utilities we needed. The house is very clean and well kept and our host was helpful and easy to communicate with. We were able to access Yosemite easily from the house as well. The house was also close to restaurants and the supermarket in Groveland. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Great house, nice big kitchen, super comfy beds, game room is perfect for watching movies and the driveway is easy to get in and out of. Rolling beach carry came in handy for bringing the chairs and umbrella with us. We'd stay here again in the future!”
