“We had a very enjoyable stay at this home. Had everything we needed and close to everything! Some of our family came by and we enjoyed cooking out on the grill and watching bunnies, white squirrels and chipmunks playing around the yard!! Great place and would definitely go back!!”

We loved coming back to the relax on the front porch or by the stream and were very thankful to be able to add a third night to our original booking. We are in a road trip from Maine to Georgia, and the hot tub also made for a nice way to relax while on the road. “Check in process had way too many things to sign off on. There were about 10 separate items to read and sign. The directions to the property were ok, fairly remote location. Was dirt roads for a few miles in a residential area, kinda different. The directions gave address and name which was clear on one side of mail box but unclear from the direction we came, just turned around and came back. Property grounds were beautiful! The apartment we stayed in was an upstairs apartment with a big deck...

“Our family enjoyed our weekend away at Bruce’s place! The hot tub and massage chair was wonderful after a long day of hiking. Quick drive to hiking and mtb trails, groceries and restaurants. Enjoyed the location on the creek as well.”

“My only complaint is that the original listing has 'hot tub' as an amenity, and a large soaking bathtub is NOT a hot tub. This part of the listing should be changed. However, we spent a long weekend and the place was immaculate and we would absolutely love to visit again. The kitchen was very well stocked, the property is beautiful, and while I was disappointed there was not an actual hot tub, we did not miss it. “The house is in a great location, close to many different hiking trails. I love the stream that runs along the back of the house, which you can hear from the back deck. The fire pit and shelter are a nice added feature. Going down to the shelter and fire pit is steep, so be careful with little kids or anyone with issues walking. The house is small, but enough room for 2-3 people. We had no issue with the shared bathroom, but the shower is small and may not be comfortable for larger individuals....

“Loved the doggies (Willard!), who greeted us upon arrival. Loved the serenity of the natural surroundings. The cottage is totally comfy and almost magical if you’re ok with a vintage vibe. Super private. The covered porch looking at the horses and mountains was like therapy (I lost my 30 yo thoroughbred the same week). “The cottage had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was very close to some wonderful parks and proximity to downtown was ideal. There was some roadwork going on (gravel road) when we arrived, I am sure that is not the norm.”
