“The property is located in the country with horses coming to the fence to greet you. The cabin is decorated very nicely and fits very well with the country location. Everything we needed was provided in regards to kitchen items,dishes,towels, shampoo, conditioner,body wash... The location was ideal for our trip to Custer State Park and Keystone area.Everything was exceptional.”

“The room was clean, perfect for a few day trip. Possibly the best shower I have ever experienced in a hotel (10/10 water pressure). The air conditioner was a bit loud but kept the room cool. Breakfast at the restaurant was great. Dinner at the powder house lodge was overhyped, would skip if I went back.”

The UnderCanvas Team deserves a lot of credit — everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The tent setup and amenities were next level, and the overall environment was exactly what we hoped for. It’s a great base camp for families to visit the surrounding areas.”

“Canyon Lake Resort is rather old, but well taken care of. Clean and comfortable I've visited quite a few dodgy hotels around the US where ones have let the interiors deteriorate, this was certainly not the case here even though some of the furniture could do with an upgrade. The rice was rather steep for our visit, in July 2018, but other hotels in the area were even more expensive.”

“We had a packed trip and our only regret was not carving out time to just sit and relax here. The setting is gorgeous. We could see George Washington on Mount Rushmore from our room!
