“I loved the attention to detail in the room. Chocolate on the desk next to the bed, cabinet to enclose the mini fridge and snacks, bottled water, ice already in the ice bucket, slippers by the bed and a personal message on the tv when I walked in. “There was no running water in the entire hotel. We were told there was a water outage in the entire neighborhood. You would expect that a hotel such as Holiday Inn would have a reserve tank especially since water outages are not a novelty in Johannesburg. We were told the hotel was providing complementary drinking water in our rooms and would also provide water for baths. In a family room for 4, there were two 330ml water bottles.
