A Quick Note on Palmetto Bugs

. Welcome to the beach! Living on the North Carolina coast means living alongside local wildlife, including Palmetto Bugs (Water Bugs/American Cockroaches). These large, flying insects live outdoors but occasionally wander inside when doors or windows are left open.
. Please know that an occasional sighting is a normal part of beach life and does not indicate a cleanliness issue or an infestation.
. While the home is professionally treated on a regular schedule, these outdoor pests cannot be completely eradicated from the coast. Therefore, we do not offer refunds for isolated sightings. However, if you experience an unusual amount of them, please let us know within 24 hours so we can immediately send our pest control team out for a complimentary extra treatment.

After the cancellation window closes, all payments are non-refundable. Moving or rescheduling reservation dates is not permitted after the cancellation window closes. We cannot make exceptions due to weather, illness, travel delays, or personal reasons. Travel insurance is highly recommended to safeguard your reservation.
