“This was my third stay at Caribou Lodge, and yet again it was wonderful. From the moment I arrived, staff were helpful and friendly, helping with anything I needed or asked, which as a solo traveller is always reassuring. The room was clean and well maintained, bed and pillows comfortable - perfect after long days hiking and exploring the local area. The hot pool and sauna were also very welcome amenities after the hikes! Location wise, it's a 10 minute walk into the main downtown area, but...

“The rooms were adequate, and the hotel/bar/etc. were fine. I think that a hotel like this should disclose that they have no air conditioning, in a way that it cannot be missed by booking consumers. Unusually warm weather made it tough to sleep even though a fan was given. And, from locals, we heard that it could be another 10-15 degrees hotter during the months of July and August. 80 degrees Fahrenheit was bad enough, I cannot imagine it being 15 degrees hotter with no airconditioning.”
