“NOSTALGIA: Reminds me of a dorm room or solo apartment. Honest review, this place has no free breakfast so bring your own food. This is also partly because they incorporate a kitchen with fridge, microwave and induction stove. “It was the night after a big snow storm and I found myself stuck in the city. A quick check on hotels showed the Mt Vernon Inn. I got there at about 11:30pm. Check in was easy. The room was rather “colorful”. Like bright tropical or Mediterranean colors ….different but kinda cool. It was also clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s clearly an old building but appears to be kept in good condition. The only negative would be the heater. It was a big window unit AC/Heat combo unit....
