“My family and I had a wonderful weekend in this private cabin on the shore of Lake Superior. There was plenty of space for my husband and I and our 2 children. The property was clean and very well maintained. The property manager was quick to respond with any questions we had. There are a ton of beautiful outdoor activities to do while exploring this beautiful part of the country. The sounds of the waves outside our cabin was so relaxing! We look forward to coming back and spending more time...

“Beautiful 20-acre Maple Forest. One of the best rustic cabins I have ever stayed in and I have traveled this area for 35+ years. Location unbelievable, good directions and description, enjoyed the sauna, view through large windows in cabin breathtaking. Only change I would make to listing: bring ice or other means to refrigerate food. listing didn't indicate this. No bathroom, outhouse only. I think listing said there is half bath.”

“The cabin is smaller, but offers plenty of space for a couple travelling to the area! It was clean and well-stocked. The views of the forest surrounding the cabin are beautiful, and the stars were amazing on a clear night. Hearing wolves in the distance from the comfort of the cabin was exciting. The sauna was great to use after a day of hiking and exploring downtown Grand Marais. We would definitely stay here again!”

“If you’re looking for a relaxing experience up the north shore, look no more! Truly, our family needed a place to congregate since most of us live out of state and it was very accommodating. It has all the bells and whistles in the kitchen from sharp fabulous knives to a Darth Vader toaster…lol. The enclosed porch has a game table to a sofa that faces Lake Superior. One day it rained, but we were happy to sit by the fire, play games, and watch the rain come down through the big windows. This was our second stay at this cabin and we’d come back again!”

“A cozy, well designed and built cabin in the distant woods was my retreat last weekend and it was terrific! The cabin is just the right size for one person or two that enjoy each other. There is no electricity, internet, plumbing, or cell service but I had everything I needed, especially peace. The screened in porch was delightful in the evening as dozens of species of birds and frogs filled the woods with song. The propane wood stove was on a thermostat and provided charm as well as warmth....

“The Mökki cabin was a breath of air and a wonderful getaway. Bathing in the sauna was unexpectedly refreshing, be sure to keep the sauna steamy while you wash up! The cabin is a stroll away from the historic Hovland dock which is great for fishing or watching the sunset. Will definitely be back!”

“We had a great stay on the North Shore. Close to Grand Marais, as well as the Canadian Border, so choose your own adventure. Our boys fished off the lighthouse point in GM, and we did a hike up at Grand Portage on the border. Spent tons of time on the lakefront, and watched the younger kids climb all over everything while collecting more rocks to bring home. The absolute highlight, from a Minneapolis family, was the stargazing! No Northern Lights, but wow! What an amazing view of our corner of...
