“This is a great whole home property that offers a lot of easy trip options. There is a super cute small downtown that is a good spot for breakfast / shopping. There is a grocery store super close to the house and the kitchen is well equipped for any meal. The home has no AC but did provide fans. “This is our second time renting Sailboat Cottage. It's a lovely, clean, we'll-appointed house with two bedrooms AND two bathrooms. We enjoyed our time here very much. ”

“This was the perfect little spot. There was easy access from main roads and down town Halifax. The place was clean, quiet, and the deck at the back was a great spot to sit and relax.The laundry area was a wonderful bonus.”

“Lots of amenities. Owners very helpful in recommending local restaurants. Enjoyed finding mussels and sea glass on the little beach as well as the antics of the "rock" beavers. The heated pool was a plus. Absolutely wonderful views of the bay.”

“Beautiful location, inside is bright and modern, beds are comfy, has A/C but breeze off ocean was more than enough to keep cool at night, being able to lay in bed and listen to the ocean is a nice change. There was lots of birds out in the water and both nights there was a seal no too far from shore.”

“This cottage is straight out of a movie. Situated in a quaint fishing village on a private property overlooking the rocky coast, it was exactly what I imagined it would be. It is pretty typical to be a little let down once you arrive at a vacation rental because the pictures usually make it look more impressive than it actually is. That was not our experience with the Whalesback cottage. The pictures included in the VRBO listing are an accurate representation of this property.The cottage was...

“From the minute we arrived we felt right at home. The owners live next door, so we stopped over to let them know we were there and to get dinner suggestions. They gave us our privacy, but let us know they were there if we needed anything. This was one of the nicest vacation rentals we have stayed in, the house was very clean and nicely decorated. The weather was perfect, we were able to take the kayaks two mornings before heading out for a day of sight seeing. We will definitely stay there again...
