Spahotell i Hudson

“I'm house-hunting in Hudson, so my wife and I have stayed in a few other hotels and B&Bs there. However, one night in Pocketbook and I'll definitely continue booking there. I don't understand the complaints about the noise or rude staff, becauee we experienced the exact opposite. The staff were warm & welcoming, and very friendly. Overnight, it was peaceful and quiet. “Steven’s House (a Red Lion Annex across the street) is very “tired”. Exterior has severe wear with peeling paint and unkempt yard. Interior is much the same with wallpaper peeling in bathroom, a broken ice machine in the common area. The cleanliness is below expected for the price paid ( same as main hotel). Wooden railing to second floor is not really ideal with splinter potential from rough surfaces. Overgrown bushes as you exit dirt parking area are a terrible hazard as you cannot see...

“we had to change rooms after a difficult night trying to sleep. A/C unit was directly above room on roof and the noise and vibrations was very annoying. We change rooms and received a courtesy discount.”

“My husband and in laws each rented a cabin for a weekend. The property is beautiful, amenities are impressive, and the food is excellent! We enjoyed spending time by the pool reading (excellent book selection in the lobby,) relaxing in the dry saunas, kayaking on the lake, Sunday yoga and the peace of the guided evening float. Prospect Berkshires is incredibly curated from the moment you get out of your car. This was my second stay and will not be my last!”

“The staff was either incompetent or rude. No one to help with bags. After asking to have the room cleaned and being told it would be cleaned in a few minutes; it still had not been cleaned 2and a half hours later. No full length mirrors anywhere. The safe was unreachable if you were short. Some of my friends rooms did not have hot water. My friend had a mani/pedi appointment. They took her 40 minutes late. She could only have one service. Wish I had saved the money and stayed at the Marriott.”

“It's all great, as far as i'm concerned, but one has to know in advance what sort of place it is. It's a mosaic of rustic on the outside, elegant/modern on the inside, quadruplexes, with classic LPs and a turntable in the room. There's no restaurant, fitniess room, etc.. (which their website makes clear.) i loved it, It's in the heart of the village. You'll want to walk to everything, which I enjoyed. When I was there, I couldn't find a place for breakfast the Wednesday morning I left;...

“Great spot close to town. Cozy, tasteful, comfortable room. Nice breakfasts and pleasant interaction with the staff. We love the Berkshires and we’ll definitely stay here again.”
