“We loved this property for our weekend pheasant hunting trip to Stafford County. Place was perfect for our large gathering and we took advantage of the kitchen, the grill and the picturesque views all around. The lodge was comfy with plenty of rooms and beds for the whole party. The open Kitchen, Dining and Living Room area was perfect for hanging out. Had a great hunters breakfast at the Wheatland Cafe in Hudson, a can't miss. Look forward to coming back here next year!”

“The home was very charming and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. which made it easy to prepare meals. The fenced-in backyard was secure, lovely, and a perfect spot for my dogs to play and for me to relax :-)”

“We enjoyed the lay out of the house. And it was pretty well stocked with needed utensils. It’s about a 30 minute drive from the closest town which was fine but make sure you have what you need prior to heading out. We enjoyed the fire pit and pool table. Plenty of space for our family. Very quiet.”

“We spent graduation weekend in Great Bend. This was actually our 2nd stay at this house. We have enjoyed both visits! Nice, quaint little house. Host is great with communication. No issues at all! I’m sure we will stay again as we have lots of family in town and this sure beats a hotel!”

“This is a nice older home near downtown. The cleanliness was ok but there were sheets left in the dryer and some unfolded towels in the closet. The owner was very great. We were in town with an Ill relative and needed to stay a day longer and he was very polite and informative. He was also quick to respond.”

Located approximately 15 minutes from Cheyenne Bottoms and 40 minutes from Quivira, it’s a welcomed retreat at the end of the day. The home is as described and offers updated amenities with an historic charm. I highly recommend it and will stay there during future visits to the area.”
