“No response from the host”

“Molokai is pretty laid back and not highly developed from a tourist standpoint, which is what we were looking for. The condo, which in its pictures looked a bit dated, definitely was when we got there. So no surprise. But we were disappointed a bit by what we encountered. Several missing or not working light bulbs. A ceiling fan in the bedroom that was either on or off, the chain control for how fast is turned wasn't working. Closet and bath doors that were delaminating. The view is...

“Charmaine, the manager for Castle Resorts, was prompt in her responses and very accommodating throughout our stay at Molokai Shores. The unit needed some deep cleaning and upgrades, and some minor repairs. ”

“This condo was clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Molokai Shores is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The pool was very clean.The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there weren't any pool towels or beach amenities provided (chairs, cooler, etc). We were able to purchase some towels at the drug store in town. Would stay here again.”

Our only concerns were that the one bathroom area was very tight for a family of four ( including two teenage girls), plus the non-smoking rule (must be 20 feet from the property) was not enforced. We had a neighbour who would light up his cigars on his lanai several times a day, and the smoke would come into our unit. We...

“Nice, simple, clean place to stay. Location was perfection. Not brand new facilities by any means, but comfortable and quiet.”

“Molokai Shores is a great place to stay on Molokai, and I've stayed there a handful of times. However, this unit seemed like it had been neglected. The floors were very dirty, the chair upholstery was visibly dirty, and the kitchen cupboards had German roaches. The unit is close to the parking lot and office, but isn't one with a view, which was ok. I think with a very thorough cleaning and perhaps some updating, the unit could be more inviting. However, suited my needs for a quick work trip.”
