We have stayed at this location 8 times since it opened last year. Most of our visits have been for over 10 days at a time. We have always brought along our dogs. This time when we booked for a short 3 day stay, we were told by the new manager, Mike that he was canceling my reservation because we had 3 dogs. I told him that I could pay for all three, and that it never was a problem in the past. He called me a liar, and said he hardly believed that I had stayed there with 3 dogs before. He then let me know that its the customers responsibility to read all the pet policies before making a reservation. He also very rudely asked what I was going to do with the third dog. And then he told me that he was canceling my room. I asked him if he knew where we could stay after driving 10 hours to the hotel, and he said no. He then said he was charging me for 1 night stay because I didn't cancel earlier. Why would I cancel a reservation that should have been completed through no fault of my own? We called Expedia and opened a complaint against him and the hotel. I would not recommend this as a good place to stay, with or without pets. The new man is rude, and not one to put at the desk with the customers. We have grounds for a lawsuit for defamation of character, when we have the proof of what we told him. Beware! Do not go to this chain hotel in Madison AL.
