“The lodge is amazing and we got to see elephants during the day and night next to our room. They quoted us a ridiculous amount for transport from/to Vic Falls so we had to make our own way there for a third of the price. There were more people going to Vic Falls the same day so I feel they could make an effort to make transport easy, fair and eco-friendly for their guests. “I used to work at this property some time ago. The property has deteriorated significantly with lack of attention to detail, shower cubicles not holding to walls for example loose electrical cables and lamps in dangerous condition. The bed itself was very comfortable and equipped with electric blankets which were essential for that time of year. “We had a lovely time staying 2 nights at Gwango Elephant Lodge. The staff were all very helpful and the food was excellent. This was a very peaceful place and was amazing to have elephants just outside the dining area when eating dinner.”
