I have stayed in Oakwood multiple times in the last 10 years of travel to Hyderabad and off late I find their service has degraded a lot. I found the attitude of the waiters at the breakfast buffet to be appalling during my last 3 visits. I was eating and left my plate halfway through my breakfast and went to get a glass of juice, when my plate was cleared without checking with me. I was actually in a hurry for work. I had to get all the items again. This time during the morning buffet, I had picked a bowl (there is always shortage of them when I went for BF) and put it on the table to get some oats a little later, when the waiter lady just quickly walked and took my bowl away. I don’t know what to say. I guess they are not trained to be polite and check with the guest. I had 20% discount on F&B through Expedia, but when I ordered room service they charged me the full price. Then, I had to leave my food at the table and spend a couple of minutes negotiating and asking the front desk to check about the discount. I can keep going on about many other such instance, but the main thing is the service was surely not what it was before. I stay here only because my work is just opposite this hotel. But, I think I need to reconsider next time. The internet is just terrible at 5-8 MBPS.
