“Beautiful guest house just a couple of minutes from the long sandy beach in Ayr. Fantastic location for walking and just a few minutes to the town center. Our room was pristine, it even had its own small fridge, with a bottle of chilled water and fresh milk. The room also has a microwave. There's a choice of cooked breakfast, which was just perfect. ”

“Detta Guesthouse var mycket välskött. Familjerummet var fräscht och barnen hade varsin bekväm säng. Frukosten lagades med omsorg och man fick välja över många olika alternativ. Daviot House ligger centralt men i ett lugnt kvarter nära stranden. Ägarna är mycket vänliga och tillmötesgående.”

Lots of thought had obviously gone into what guests require in their rooms: plent of storage, hanging space, little extras and a good sized mini fridge as well as a good tv with different channels and excellent wifi coverage. “My reservation, paid in advance, at Argyll guest house for 22-26 June 2022 clearly said breakfast included. When checking in they didn't respect this but wanted us to pay for breakfast. I showed the staff at reception my reservation, discussed it at three occasions during the stay but the reception staff always said that only the manager could handle this, a manager who was not available and didn't answer the phone. In the end they charged my credit card 136 GBP for breakfasts.”

“On arrival we were shown to our room and discovered there was no power, so we informed the owner and within minutes he arrived and we tried to solve the problem. Turns out the fridge in our room was faulty and kept tripping the electricity. We were then moved out of the room and upgraded to a larger room. “The property all on ground floor which was great close to the hospital. It was local to where we were meeting relatives for a long weekend away. Very clean and well heated and wifi was ok. Only negatives were we couldnt find a toaster or a wire grill to toast in oven and after contacting host re hairdryer was told in was broken. Luckily I washed by hair the day we travelled and its just about ok 3 days later. Would have took mine if known but itinery specified one.”
