“Lovely big warm & cozy house, communal space was great. Some bedrooms were awkward due to positioning of sinks in each one but the beds were very comfortable. The dining room looked bigger in photographs, but we did get everyone around the table...but no-one could move. Instructions for ovens & dish washer would have been useful. Area was gorgeous but no walks from the house. I had to chase up an email response from the agent, and had difficulty getting details ie regarding address and check...

“The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge.
