“I needed somewhere to stay to recharge the batteries and switch off from a stressful job. Cowslip Cottage was the perfect setting for this. I woke up to the gentle trickling from the pond opposite the cottage and cows grazing peacefully. The cottage itself was cosy and welcoming (and surprisingly large!) and had everything I needed for my stay. Janet and her daughter, Clare took me, with her children to feed their pigs which was fun! The recliner chair was my favourite spot after a day...

The cottage was just perfect for what we needed and loved the bbq and fire pit for us to do ourselves, very quiet and is so isolated for location, you could hear a pin drop. Lovely hosts also that showed us around, very friendly and book with all local information and contact information if we needed any help also! We will definitely come back for longer in The future! ”

“Lovely little pub and rooms, food is very good although it's at a price point where you'd expect that. Lots of German and Dutch tourists stopping and a few locals. Not much of a pub vibe as it's all given over to dining but the room were spacious and comfortable.”
