Beachside with Billiard Room & Beach Cruisers!

  • The Ruby Sea Turtle is a newly renovated Family Friendly 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Home located blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in North Jacksonville Beach. We provide a clean, comfortable, and private beach experience for all of our guests. Sleeping arrangements can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. After a long day at the beach, come back and relax in front of the 70inch TV or challenge a friend to a game of pool!

    So why The Ruby Sea Turtle?
    Founded in 1884 by the Scull family, Jacksonville Beach was first known as Ruby Beach. William E. and Eleanor Scull were the first family to settle the area, working a post office and general store while living in tents on the beach with their two children, "Ruby" and Bessie. What began as a small, nearly unpopulated, nineteenth-century outpost on the route between Mayport and St. Augustine eventually grew into the thriving and lively Jacksonville Beach we know today. With our love for local history and wildlife, we decided to name the house after a combination of the historical Ruby Beach and the beautiful Sea Turtles that nest along our shores.

My family and I stayed here so I could go to The Mayo clinic and have surgery. Convenient location to the beach and Mayo. Very clean Vrbo. My family enjoyed the pool table and spacious home so the kids didn’t feel crammed at all. Very thoughtful lobby table with places to eat around the area. We hope to come back again just for some R&R and beach time and under better circumstances. Overall this place is a gem.

Cute old Florida style beach house with all the necessities for a beach visit. Beautifully renovated kitchen but no dishwasher. Ample space for families.

This location was perfect. The neighbors were awesome. The children played with our children as if we actually lived there. Stores, beach, restaurants, etc where with 5 minutes away. The home was very cozy and clean. We enjoyed grilling, playing pool, and fishing. Would differently rent again.

We were celebrating our daughter’s college graduation from UNF. The house was perfect and the host was terrific. You can really feel a sense of community in the neighborhood as well. Overall great stay!

Great property and great owners

We only had a short stay, but will definitely stay here again. It’s close proximity to the beach, the home is clean and well-kept, and the owners are close by if you need anything at all during your stay. I would definitely recommend staying here!

From the moment we arrived, our experience was stellar. Thomas is a superb host. He attended to our every need. He recommended restaurants (which he was spot on) and made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed.The pool table and bicycles were an excellent addition to our stay. Not many rentals provide those activities. Thomas was always available and prompt when responding to our communications. Very clean house and very comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked. All appliances worked nicely. I would definitely want to stay here again if in the area. It was so convenient to the beach and restaurants. Perfect getaway.
