  • Ocean Front Direct on the Beach - Premium bekvämligheter Detta charmiga semesterhus vid stranden ligger ett stenkast från sanddynerna och havsbränningen, belägen i det lugna North Beach-området på ön Amelia. Vakna upp för att titta på vågorna från masterbädden, med en pelikan med utsikt över vattnet. Ett 180-graders, omlindad däck har utsikt över sjögräsdynerna till stranden bara 50 meter bort. Barfota promenader före frukosten är lätta med klippvandringen framför huset. Huset kan vara relativt modernt, men det är fullt av historia. Från det ögonblick du öppnar portdörrens ytterdörr kommer du att börja upptäcka reliker från ett gammalt fartyg inuti. Båtens tallpanel stiger till ett välvt takbjälk, återvunnet från en historisk kyrka för decennier sedan. Den antika segelbåtmodellen på den två våningar stenpeinen speglar livet på en barriärö, omgiven av hav och floder, stenar och sand. Nyligen renoverat i smakfull nautisk inredning har vi bevarat den ursprungliga arkitekturen samtidigt som vi har lagt till moderna möbler, apparater och nya designerbäddar. Nu med höghastighets trådlöst internet kan du surfa på webben och titta på surfningen samtidigt.

Ocean View with Sunrises and Moonrises...priceless!

The proximity to the beach and ocean was fantastic, beds were comfy, the Kitchen is well equipped. he location also has a park in walking distance and Salt Life Restaurant is also within walking distance. The morning views either from the deck, the Living Room, The Kitchen and even the Primary Bed were OUTSTANDING!

Lovely home on beach

This cute hexagonal shaped house was very roomy for our family of 7. We only had to walk across a dirt frontage road and over the dunes path to get to the ocean. Sitting on the front balcony was nice. The house has lots of windows looking over the ocean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Location was great. Large deck was useful. The structure was interesting. The kitchen was functional but limited. The main door onto the deck was unusable. The carpets were dirty and stained. The couches were worn out and uncomfortable. The curtains were stained and torn. Most of the blinds didn't work. This is a cool house that needs a lot of work.

The view is awesome. The house is well lived in and clean, the yard has a sea turtle nest in the front. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. One thing we weren’t happy with, the third bedroom had no a/c and it was hot.

Great location

The rental is well worn and could be cleaner. It was a great location and the house layout was nice for our family. The view was great.I expected things like clogged up sinks, no stopper in the bath tub, missing light bulbs in overhead lighting, ripped outdoor seating as well as a lid on the outdoor garbage can to be addressed prior to our check in. The house feels neglected.

Great Home for Vacation

This is an older home, but there was nothing wrong with it. My husband and I stayed with our two adult children and their significant others. We enjoyed our long weekend. Only a small dirt road separated us from the beach. Pathway to the beach was directly in front of the home.

Location was excellent but unit was not very clean, no carafe for coffee maker, back door was fastened shut with an extension cord, no hand soap. Some lights didn’t work. Air conditioner barely kept the unit at 75 degrees.

pros and cons

Pros-- The house and property are lovely. The location is fantastic. The living space and deck are both comfortable and cozy. The house is clean... Cons-- The bunk room doesn't seem to have its own air vent, making it hot to sleep in even when the rest of the house is quite cool. The kitchen cabinets could use some work-- many of them don't close; and according to my brother-in-law-the-cook, only one stove eye was really usable-- a couple of them only worked on high. We had a fun week hanging out together...

Beautiful home, but had a rodent problem

Rodent droppings in several places, especially in the kids room. I was not comfortable with my son sleeping in that room. Our food was eaten by rodents. The property management refunded one day.

Disappointed

First, the positive - you can't beat the location of this property! The neighborhood is a nice beachfront area, and beach access is available right in front of the house. Unfortunately, the property was somewhat dirty, the only door to the outside porch (besides the front door) had a "Do Not Open" sign on it, which was unfortunate. The biggest issue is the water smelled like sulfur and was a complete turn off for the entire weekend. Showers were unpleasant, and we used bottled water for food cleaning and cooking. This was not disclosed prior to our arrival. Because of it we would not rent this property again.

This property leaves a lot to be desired!!

The sofa cushions were shot making it very uncomfortable. The interior just felt really dirty.  The exterior has weeds encroaching on the driveway and at the bottom of the stairs.  The beach sand on the driveway should have been blown off.  The clothes dryer lint catcher had not been cleaned in a very long time..  We were told that the property had just changed hands.  It should not be rented until the new owner makes some huge changes.  I paid an exorbitant amount for such a shoddy condition.  I won’t do this again anytime soon.

Porch view was great.Dishwasher wasn't working right or maybe the soap for it was not right but dishes were not clean.No wine glasses.Main toilet was running all the time and should be looked at.Even with these minor issues, we had a great time and loved staying there.

Great location but…

The location was perfect but the place needs a lot of TLC. Dust covered everything including baseboards, a/c returns, and ceiling fans. The dinning room table and chairs were broken and the light fixtures did not work. The seating area outside is minimal at best with mixed matched chairs that don’t fit the table height. Don’t plan to use the grill because it was in horrible condition. Would not recommend this place until a lot of work is done to clean and repair.

Beach house

The house was clean and decorated with great beach decor! AC worked well, fans in each room were helpful. Beds were comfy. Wonderful deck to view the ocean. So nice to be able to walk right to the beach in front of the house! However several things need to be addressed. Light bulbs are very dim especially in dining area and bedrooms. Door to deck has a broken lock and was locked with a bicycle lock for which no code was provided, until the property manager was reached by phone. For those guests who want to use the grill, please be aware--- a gas tank is NOT provided (actually there was a tank hooked up with no gas in it). I spoke twice to the property managers and was told we could purchase one at the Circle K! --very disappointing. Never had that happen before. Perhaps the owners might want to rethink that! Overall the house was great location, very peaceful, and comfortable.

Great location! Beautiful views. Home is spacious yet quaint. I did have to remind them to send me code to get in home but the property managers were quick to respond to any needs otherwise! Would definitely stay again

Unique house and fantastic location

Such a quaint house. It was perfect for me, girlfriend and three teenaged kiddos. Beach access couldn't be better. It's 20 yards to the beach access point from the property. The house is a bit older but is quite nice inside. Its round structure makes for incredible views from inside and from the surround deck. For the size of the house, the kitchen is roomy enough for two cooks in the kitchen. The living room is a smidge on the small side but it's not a large house to begin with. All five of us had plenty of space. It's beach walking distance (< 1/2 mile) to two beachside restaurants/bars.
