“In general very nice. Perhaps it was a longtime ago since anyone rented the property because it was very dusty on all floors. The dust flew around with the A/C on so that could have been better. Otherwise the cottage very nice furnished, felt like a home. Sofa bed by the window in the livingroom should be expected more as an extra bed than a bed to really use for a longer vacation, a bit wind from the window and nothing nearby to put clothes in. “This property was a cozy, quiet and private home away from home when my family came to Williamsburg. The set up worked well for our family of five and could also be a perfect getaway for a couple.”

“Stayed here with my mother, husband and our 2 kids ages 8 and 12. We enjoyed walking down to the waterfront and the Yorktown battlefield National Park. The great room is comfortable and well stocked with games. There are only 2 bedrooms, so it is a bit tight with 3 adults and 2 kids, but one kid took the couch which worked fine. We were not interested in cooking, but it had a small functional kitchen for anyone who is.”

“Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is the perfect size with many cute and artistic touches. We loved the porch, looking for shells and shark teeth on the beach, using the kayaks and the fire pit. It was secluded and relaxing ”

“First, I did not realize how far off the beaten path the property was; however, it wasn't a difficult or treacherous drive. Once arriving, it was well worth it. The property is immaculate and provided all the basic needs to cook and enjoy the amenities. The river is beautiful, and watching it from the sunroom happened daily. I will definitely look at this property when returning, hopefully it will be warmer but the firepit offered warmth and smores when sitting out back enjoying the river...
