“we have stayed 4 nights and could stay longer if we had a time. The challet is in a great location, less than an hour from Yosemite valley, Hetch Hetchy dam or Sonora, but in a very quite location at the end of a road. You can get there easily, just go to the end of paved Hells Hollow road and then keep straight on the dirt road until you reach 2111 and the gate. “We had a wonderful time. The house is colorful and filled with whimsical art, which we enjoyed. Very convenient to the town of Murphys, only about 2 miles away. We would definitely stay there again. We would have loved to spend time on the back patio. Unfortunately for us, the week we chose was rainy off and on. Access was easy compared to other experiences we have had. Owner very amicable.”

“My family stayed here for a short weekend. Upon arrival it looked like it had been cleaned however there was hair in both showers, an odd smell in the living room and the rug in the living room looked like it had never been vacuumed. While the cleanliness was off putting, the comfort was worse. The couch was also not clean and the beds were broken, lopsided and extremely uncomfortable. This place needs a one time deep clean, new caulk where there is mold, and new beds/couch and it would be fine....

We usually just bring food for breakfast so the need for a fully stocked kitchen is not a high priority. It is adequate stocked for our needs. “Our 6-person group's average age is around 80. A railing along the stairs up to the house would be helpful. The driveway is difficult to ascend on foot. We must shuttle people and supplies by car into the garage to avoid the stairs and driveway. Other, younger clients may have similar challenges. Also a large serving bowl for the kitchen would be good. Otherwise, a fine destination.”
