One of the best driver I have every driven with (and you will need it because of rough terrain). I could trust him with my family in car on treacherous Himalayan roads and a whole bunch of aggressive drivers around.”

“The resort is a perfect getaway for city dwellers. The resort nestles amidst the majestic middle Himalayas in the village of Saboo. The location is about 10km (15 minutes drive on a normal day) from the Kushok Bakula Rinpoche airport The cottages are well appointed, with lovely views from the verandah. There is a quaint little bridge with a water stream underneath too. The staff is very friendly and go out of the way to be helpful to guests. We needed our breakfast ready 30 minutes before time...

“Our room was large and very comfortably furnished, with a large attached bath. Hot water was available whenever electricity was available. Any visitors to Nubra Valley should be aware that electricity services can be erratic in the valley, but we found it was better in Turtuk than in Diskit.”
