This means a new fridge and also construction materials around the property (no fenced in yard for pets, plus empty bottles/gum wads, etc around construction area). The house is clean and new on the interior but does not look like the pictures in many way. We came here with a mobility impaired family member, the new high top kitchen table was a disaster. “A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.”

The house suited our family more than adequately and the boys loved they all could move around easily, and of course the hot tub for after our mountain hikes. “We had a lovely time in this chalet in the woods. Everything was as described. Neighborhood was QUIET which is exactly what we were looking for. Close and easy drive to lake Placid for supplies. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck and the screened in porch was a very nice bonus. The cooking pots and pans could use updating - all are quite scratched up. Water pressure was good in shower. Communication with the host was terrific. Main bedroom is downstairs and as long as anyone staying upstairs is ok...
