“Free bicycles was good as you can go downtown in 10 mins or just visit the villages around the river, there is an excellent restaurant just 3 mins away along the river. The part of town near the hotel is nicer than the touristy west street.
There is a construction about 300 m opposite to the hotel which affects the view negatively and a lot of trucks pass by the hotel at the moment but I guess after 2-3 month it will be a better situation.
Restaurant in hotel has surprisingly perfect western...

“We stayed here on a family trip and I love how the family rooms are separated by a curtain to give you some privacy and has two temp controls which is very helpful as two of us run hot and the other enjoy the heat.
Staff were lovely and super helpful in assisting with arranging transportation. The resident dogs are also very friendly and love all the guests that come through.”

“This is a gem of a hotel. Tucked away so you wouldn’t even know it was there. We arrived at night and it was beautifully lit and in a gorgeous setting. The staff are wonderful- friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The chef is great - highly recommend having dinner there. They also booked a tour and guide for us which was great. Everyone and everything is perfect.”

“We loved this hotel. It is situated next to the ancient town of Xingping and you need to get a small ferry across the river to get to it if you come from Yangshuo Railway Station. However, it’s worth the little extra effort as it feels like a getaway quiet retreat from the busy streets of the town. There are many outdoor activities around the hotel that can be scheduled. The owner is amazing and nothing is too much effort for her to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel also helps...

“From the moment arriving at Yangshuo Sugar House we were instantly charmed. The architecture is stunning, the staff are incredibly warm and attentive, and every building is photogenic. You never get tired of the views, food was perhaps the best we've had in all of China, and the spa is exceptional. Loved the activities too, like rock climbing and bamboo raft on the Li River.
Tip: Honestly, do activities around Yangshuo and Guilin before arriving because once you’re at Sugar House you won’t...

“A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Downtown!
When we booked this place, it had a different name, and I thought we were going to a hotel. In fact, we had a hard time finding it because the address took us to a youth hostel—Emoji Youth Hostel. I'll be honest: I was disappointed at first, because I didn't want to stay in a youth hostel (we are not that young), and I assumed the quality would be low.
But I was very impressed!
The room was very nice, cleaned and the staff went out of their way to make...

The staff and owners were very kind, going above and beyond in order to make the trip memorable. They helped book many of my tickets and were even able to offer some discounts on certain tickets! No matter what you need if you ask them they will do all they can to accommodate and help you on your trip”
