“Nice and relaxing resort. Staff is friendly and we also got a free upgrade to a room with the garden and hills view. There's a campfire outside the hotel each night. The hotel is about 15 mins drive away from the jiuzhaigou entry and you can easily catch a taxi from there. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. ”

“Best hotel in the area. Some problems like a very hard beds and the bell boys trying to extort inflated taxi prices but otherwise nice.”

Not a problem as I am fluent in Mandarin, however this did mean they took turns to act busy ignoring me because I looked foreign - only looking up from their vital tasks when admonished by the manager to "take care of that guest". Language barrier aside, they were unwilling to help with basic things like booking transport to the airport (told us it was very difficult to book them), and were unable to offer any suggestions on alternative...

“Our room was so spacious, had a great view, and the hotel was actually quite a surprise. I wasn't expecting such a large hotel in the Jiuzhaigou Valley. The bathtub looked out onto the room and the pretty view of the mountains. Of course, you could put the privacy blinds down if you wish. The bathroom was huge. We had a step-down sitting area with a fireplace. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They even prepared a little breakfast box for us because we had to leave before the...
