Welcome to Desert Moon, an inviting desert oasis in the heart of Joshua Tree. We are sure you'll feel right at home and enjoy the beautiful views, brilliant sunsets, endless stargazing, and relaxing vibes. Guests will have access to the entire home and property and will enjoy watching the local roadrunners, quails, and jackrabbits through the large picture windows. Inside the home is fully remodeled and equipped with quality kitchen amenities, cozy beds and mattresses, soft cotton bedding, and warm, comfy furniture curated in an upscale bohemian desert aesthetic.

• DEPOSIT
We do not charge a security deposit. We welcome you and your guests to come to the property without an added security deposit or any extra holds of funds. You will not have to worry about any additional charges for accidental damages!

• RENTAL AGREEMENT
There will be a rental agreement sent out that will need a signature to complete the reservation

• PETS
Dogs can be allowed for a one time $60 per dog fee (max 2).

• DIRECTIONS
GPS should bring you easily to the property

• ROAD TO THE HOUSE
The road to the house is on about 1 miles dirt road. An SUV will not be needed as they are maintained dirt roads but they can be a little bumpy.

• A/C & HEATER
The house is cooled and heated by central heating and air conditioning throughout the house to keep you comfortable all year long.

• FIRE
Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no-open flames fire policy BUT the propane fire pit is located outside if allowed.
If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, in a fire pit, using fireworks or other open fire (propane excluded when used IN the propane firepit and propane grill provided) means your rental agreement will be terminated and there is a $200 fine.

• HOT TUB - legal
Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use of the pool.

• GUESTS
You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement unless you request and receive permission from us. That includes day guests and over night guests.

• IDENTITY VERIFICATION
You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.

By renting this property, guest acknowledges that they have read, understand and accept the terms listed above.
